There were issues on the island with power going out due to a fallen tree in the forest, but the owners were very responsive to texts and even drove out to give us lanterns in case there was another outage. "What a dream location! It was our first trip to Hawaii. There’s no better place stay! The location is ideal, if you want to stay in the peace and quiet of the North Shore. The Hukilau Marketplace is less than 10 minutes down the road with some great food trucks. The beach is beautiful and quiet. Often we had the beach to ourselves! The best part is falling asleep to the crashing waves and the breeze of the cool trade winds."

"Booked this location for the my wedding party accommodations. Host was amazing, communicative, and flexible, meeting all of our needs. Would highly recommend this property especially if you have a large enough group to occupy all three of the units. The location is secluded yet close to the beach and local market. Parking was a little tight but no complaints as it's free and parking in Hawaii is always crazy. Don't miss out on this awesome property!"

"If you don’t want to pay the high prices for a resort this was an excellent choice. We had 5 days on the island . Being close to the hotel was not our goal. We got up and out exploring each day. Back to shower for dinner at one of the multiple restaurants within 5 minutes away. The beach once you locate is also 5 minutes away. Perfect choice for us"

"The house and beach access were just as it was advertised. Beautiful beach, house and yard! The home was very roomy and accommodated all the family needs. The yard provided lots of parking. We had full access to beach toys (kayak, paddle & boogie boards, snorkels, etc.). The kitchen had every gadget you could want or need. Each bathroom had 2 accesses, which can be challenging with 6 kids and minimal boundaries. I would definitely recommend this property."

"My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in the Pineapple Cottage at Hulili Farm. While the location made sight-seeing around the island easy, we often opted to stay in and enjoy the sound of the rain on the roof and the sway of the hanging bed on the lanai. We hope to come back again soon!"

"Great stay, lovely location! It is a little bit outside of the centre up the hill so you are likely to get rain if there is any! Only complaint was that some gardening needed to be done at 8am one of the days which was very loud and disruptive, the internet was extremely slow and patchy and the rules listed are quite strict, especially regarding charges for losing items such as towels or kets and excess dirtiness. This wasn't an issue for us fortunately."

"During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating).
