"We found the home to be a very nice size with ample room for us. The recent upgrades and renovations were very well done. We did have a bit of difficulty navigating the one way streets for the parking situation. Parking lot across the street was close and free during our stay which was very good. Parking nearly by on the street would have been a challenge. The property was in an area urban renewal. Was well within an easy walk to the High Street. "

"A really comfortable weekend stay, easy walking distance to Hadrian’s Wall. The cottage is well equipped and dog friendly, the only downside was the adjacent Milecastle Inn isn’t doesn’t allow dogs inside. They do allow dogs in the beer garden which would be great in good weather but we visited in early March and it wasn’t sitting out weather. Haltwhistle is short drive away with dog friendly pubs, good Fish and Chips shops and supermarkets. "

"I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

"We have stayed in many properties over the years and this is definitely one of the nicest. Set in a beautiful area with wonderful views, it is a spacious and very well-appointed apartment where everything you could hope for is provided including some delicious supplies. The hosts were so helpful and made us very welcome. We only stayed three nights as we were visiting family but would love to return for longer and explore the area."

"We loved our stay at the Milecastle Inn. Our little apartment was a perfect size for us, clean and well equipped. They even stocked it with snacks and breakfast items. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was cozy with good food. The most amazing part was that you can easily walk to Hadrian’s Wall from the Inn. It is also right next to the bus stop from Haltwhistle and the train station. Overall it made for a perfect vacation!"

"Basic accommodation with some nice homely touches. Unfortunately, biggest issue for us were the external stairs up to the front door and also internal stairs to bedrooms. My 76yo mother uses a walking stick and I was temporarily on crutches too so we both struggled. Getting up the narrow outside steps in the dark with no lighting was quite precarious. "What can I say , this place is amazing . We got there at 8pm on Friday and was greeted by Annette who was so lovley , she had warmed up the hot tub for us and everything was ready.
