Hawstead Village Green with Hall and play area Hawstead's new Village Hall was opened in 2008. There is a fenced play area nearby; to the right we can see converted barns which are on the other side of the road to Bury St. Edmunds.

As hotel guest you dont have access to the pool advertised on the website. The advertises pool is on the neighbouring lot about 300’meters away. The hotel has a pool but it is overcrowded and in dire need of repair. The restaurant is nice and the staff there is welcoming and sharp

My Brother and I enjoyed our stay very much.
We enjoyed the extra space that Clare pod gave us. We enjoyed the cycle route that Mat kindly download into my new Hammerhead Karoo GPS bike computer. The area is so beautiful to cycle through.
