We stopped in for a short stay and found it to be a beautiful historic property with friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure we didn’t have any issue during our stay. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, with the Beef Fillet (cooked blue) was some of the best we’ve had! Would stay again when visiting the region.

Old castle converted to a small hotel

Very nice old castle, converted into a small Hotel. Excellent restaurant with great service. The only "negative" point is the elcetric heating of the rooms - this is a waste of energy and the heating system is quite loud when it switches on at night..

The building is magnificent, the location an view are unique but mostly, the reception by the manager was extremely welcoming. We had a very nice afternoon sampling wines on the lush balcony of the chateau.

O Chateau, oh wow

Wow, oh wow. We were pleasantly surprised with the O Chateau, the overall feeling from entering the driveway to the moment we left was near perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke very good English, which was good as we’re still learning basic French! The choice at Dinner was very good and the food cooked to perfection, The breakfast buffet was also excellent in delivery and choice. The room was a surprise, it was more of a suite than we were expecting and was very well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable, and huge. My only suggestion to make the stay a little better was if the hotel had sold the bears that greeted us when we entered the room.

A jewel in the crown of our road trip

We were ever so fortunate to come across this gem - like a diamond, hidden in plane sight. It is a property that overflows with charm, attention to detail and personal touches. Everything was excellent and we loved every minute of our stay.

Faisons les choses dans l’ordre. Après avoir longé une allée de vase, me voilà face à Ô Château. Le cadre général est magnifique, surtout quand on arrive de nuit — on se croirait presque dans un décor de film. Côté accueil, rien à redire : c’est un sans-faute. Rapide, chaleureux, précis… bref, le genre de réception qui donne envie de revenir avant même d’avoir posé les valises. La chambre suit le même niveau d’excellence : propre, confortable, équipée de tout ce qu’il faut. Mention spéciale à la peluche qui vous attend comme si elle guettait votre arrivée depuis des heures. Le souci du détail est clairement là. Arrive ensuite le moment de passer à table. Et comme dit l’expression : « jamais deux sans trois ». Service agréable, rapide, plats soignés et savoureux… et côté vins, il y en a pour tous les goûts, avec d’excellents conseils en prime. Au final, je crois que j’ai trouvé mon pied-à-terre dans la région, et je vous le recommande clairement. Si je devais vraiment chercher un point faible, peut-être la vue lointaine sur une vieille usine métallurgique… Mais honnêtement, elle a un certain charme industriel, presque poétique. Et puis, demander à la déplacer pour améliorer la vue risque d’être un peu compliqué niveau logistique. Merci à toute l’équipe d’Ô Château pour cette superbe soirée, et à bientôt
