"Great hotel, I spent a couple of days with my friend, we found it good as it was very quiet time (just before Xmas) but it was very noisy in the early morning, I could imagine in busier times is worse. Other than that we liked our break and the swimming pool and gym were a plus, we ate at the restaurant for lunch, it was good and dinner at the bar twice, we liked it all, good break! "

"Great location, free car parking for guests, and nice room with a comfy bed and lovely bedding. Bathroom could do with updating, and shower wasn’t really useable as temperature kept fluctuating from hot to cold. Empty shower gel, so no toiletries provided, but we had our own. Leaking shower screen with a gap underneath it, no water glasses and only 1 bath towel provided for a 2 person booking - managed to collect one from reception after 2 trips and double checking there wasn’t another towel in the wardrobe. Could do with deep cleaning / vacuuming under furniture as some of visible carpet was grim, lots of limescale in the loo etc. Very short staffed at breakfast, so difficult to get attention when everything was running out (hot water, ketchup, orange juice). Could have been a good stay, just lacked a bit round the edges which made us grumble!"

"Staff were exemplary, very warm and made us feel at home immediately. The room was very clean and well appointed. Would definitely stay at The Russell Hotel again. Only negative was the lighting in the room, which was not bright enough to read by, only a very small negative."

"We loved our stay at Priory Barn and were welcomed by a lovely complementary basket of wine and snacks. The barn itself is very characterful and ideal for big family groups. There is also a large garden that is great for outdoor activities. The price is also very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended!"

"We had an amazing stay at this beautiful barn. Our son was getting married and it was a perfect stay for a group of family and friends. The garden is a delight and so relaxing . Eating breakfast outside , playing pool in the games room , chilling out together in the lovely sitting room. A quirky , wonderful place to stay. We will definitely come again."
