"We arrived just as it was about to start raining. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lunch in the River Cafe was quick and delicious and then we went for our Spa treatment. The heavens opened just as our treatment began, and it was so relaxing hearing the rain drop down on the canvas while we were having one of our best treatments ever. "Casa do Sol was quiet compared to our previous stays here but this didn't stop the staff doing everything they could to make our stay agreeable. "The hotel was clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are outdated and need a revamp from carpets through to furniture and bathrooms. Pool and gardens are well kept. Be prepared to wait a while for pool towels as they were never available at reception the 3 times we needed them... Breakfast was not great but had the necessary components to get by. Coffee was dispensed in an urn and tasted stale at every breakfast seating. Chef during weekday duty overstuffed the omlet and did not...
