"The staff at the front desk were helpful and welcoming. The staff people in the dining room for breakfast time was friendly, always had a smile on her face, and made sure we had plenty to eat. The cleaning/house keeping staff were thorough, friendly and courteous. One of the room I reserved developed a water leak. All the room were full so they couldn't move us that night. Staff apologized and moved us as soon as a room became available. We appreciate their effort."

"Staff was extremely kind and friendly upon check-in and throughout the visit. The restaurant/bar is an amazing convenience, and a great place to connect with other people staying at the hotel! Jo and River at Grille 29 are EXCEPTIONAL! They made my experience 10x better, both were so open and inviting and made me feel comfortable immediately. The room I stayed in was nice. The bathroom door looked to be a little banged up and there were some obvious repairs in the shower, but that did not ruin my experience at all. Housekeeping was attentive and kind, making sure I had everything I needed. I did not get a chance to try the fitness area or pool, but those are definitely nice amenities to have. Parking was a nice plus, but some odd choices blocking off specific sections of the lot at night. Not quite sure why that was, but it didn't really hinder my experience, just seemed odd. Location makes traveling to new places easy as well, lots of local businesses and malls for any needs you may have while you stay. Overall, a great place to stay, whether for a night or two, or for a slightly extended stay. Would definitely stay here again if I found myself in the area!"

"The location was right on the lake with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit on the cooler evenings. The towels at the pool were so convenient. Our room did not have a microwave and the beds were not that comfortable. Overall, a very relaxing place to stay."

"I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a bargain place to stay in the Grand Rapids area. You have to have some patience, as it is an older Hotel and they are doing their best to upgrade it and maintain it. They may need a better maintenance staff, but they are very gracious and helpful. There will be things that don’t work quite right, but I can live with that. For me to have access to Grand Rapids with an a 10 or 12 minute drive it’s worth all of it. If you are not super fussy and you just need a place to yourself to crash for a while. It’s perfectly fine. I feel safe and a family run business."
