"The hotel was excellent with good facilities. It is a new hotel and is quite hard to access as there are still a lot of building works and roadworks but this will improve. The staff were very helpful and the room was very good with a lovely bed, a good TV and good provision for hot drinks, however the temperature of the shower fluctuated quite a lot. I think the restaurant and bar were rather overwhelmed by the large amount of people all attending the Barack Obama event at the Co-Op Live arena and we waited a long time to be served but this was because of the unusual circumstances where everyone came out of the event at the same time. Maybe this could have been anticipated. I very much enjoyed my stay at the hotel and may well return in the future."

"My first time staying in The Alan, Manchester. Judging by the impressions of my stay it won't be my last. Beautiful large room on the 1st floor, great breakfast, modern vibe, excellent location on Princess Street, friendly/helpful staff and reasonably priced."
