"Oh, wow! Kinda felt like we were in a Vrbo ad… The house is a beautifully renovated old home just across from the water, and a couple hundred yards from the beach. Beds were luxurious, bookcases of interesting books. The neighbourhood is of older, well looked after houses on a quiet cul de sac on the ocean. Couldn’t be better."

"I cannot express how absolutely gorgeous the property is! My three young adult kids actually gasped when we turned into the driveway and saw the view. Very comfortable home, clean and accommodating and Phil was a great host! The area is quiet and remote but close enough to sites like Peggy's Cover for a day trip. Highly recommend this property!! The only thing we had some confusion over was the laundry situation. Listing states a washer and dryer so we just assumed we could do our own load...

"The Mahone Bay Beach House was the perfect place to start our vacation in Nova Scotia. It is an easy drive from Halifax Airport and immediately welcomed us in to relax on the deck, inhale the fresh coastal air and take in the sounds of the birds and boats in the harbour. The house is just as advertised with all the amenities available and a nice cheery decor. The master bedroom has a terrific view over the water. After a short sunny nap on the deck we walked down the street and had a nice dinner...

"We enjoyed our stay close to local beaches, kayak/paddle board rentals and in between Halifax and Mahone Bay. The owner was very attentive and thoughtful of our needs. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and the owner brought family videos and yummy coffee for us. It was well equipped with a wonderful washer dryer, BBQ, waffle maker and coffee maker as well as many items for guests. The deck was handy to enjoy meals and watch the deer in the morning and water throughout the day and evening. I...

"The Overlook was the perfect spot to explore and enjoy the beauty of the southern shore and lighthouse trail. The house itself was incredibly comfortable and well appointed, with a beautiful view of the shore. Our host was welcoming and quick to respond to any questions we had. All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy nature."

"Came for a week to revisit Halifax and area, but stay in a quiet area. It was great, caught Fleet Week, saw Peggy's cove, Lunenberg, all the stuff in Halifax, narrowly missed the incoming storm....Good Luck folks. Spent a lot of time talking with Nova Scotians who are great people, always had the feeling they'd give you the shirt off their backs."

"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. A few excited moments at dusk when we caught sight of several whales waaaaay out – okay, turned out be distant shoals but what fun! Enjoyed long walks … to...

"Lovely property. Exactly as advertised. A few suggestions for Mr. Noblett to consider. The dining chairs should be retightened after each visit as a few chairs were awfully wobbly. Because we were a party of 5 women over the age of 60 the amount of toliet paper was insufficient. We left him a pack. If choosing to use white towels, they should be bleached on some sort of regular rotation. Some looked decidedly dingy. Otherwise Tilley Cove House was an absolutely a wonderful spot to vacation."
