Hyggeligt hotel

Weisser Bock ligger midt i den hyggelige Altstadt og er et ganske godt hotel. Værelserne er af god standard og restauranten tilknyttet hotellet er godt. Dog er der meget lydt på hotellet så man kan høre støj fra naboværelserne og fra gaden (som har brosten, men heldigvist er meget lidt traffikeret).

Cute and comfortable

We stayed here while visiting family over Christmas. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor. The room was clean and comfortable with a good sized sitting area. The restaurant is EXCELLENT!!!

Great Location/Loud on the weekends

Over all this is a great hotel. There was one restaurant server who was a bit rude in the way he talked to me...twice. Everyone else acted in a professional manner. If your goal is to be near the castle, this is a good option. Be aware that the street that intersects the hotels small street, has some night club/bars and some revelry - with accompanying noise - takes place Friday and Saturday nights. After all though, it is a college town.

Quaint hotel near all the sites of Heidelberg.

This was a small independently owned hotel in the middle of the old section of Heidelberg. Clean with a helpful staff and very "cute" according to my fiancee. It is within easy walking distance of all the sites of the Altstadt(Old Town) in Heidelberg. One quibble was the free wireless was spotty in the room itself though fast and reliable in the common areas of the hotel.

Old-town charm.

Hotel well-located in the centre of the old town. The fabric of the hotel is old, though well-maintained and very attractive, if you're looking for a hotel with local character and a sense of heritage. Room was good, with plenty of space and a large bathroom. No aircon, so a bit sticky on a warm summer evening, but not bad. Small, jerky elevator and narrow stairs. Public spaces quite tight. Good restaurant. Only grumble is that arriving by car is a pain. You can unload the car at the hotel door, though it's on a very narrow, dead-end alley, requiring you to reverse back out again (typical of European medieval town centres!). The nearest car park is about 8 minutes walk away. Not really a business hotel, much more focused on leisure.

Schöne, leider gestörte Lage

Das Hotel ist sehr schön in der Altstadt von Heidelberg gelegen. Das Personal hat uns unser Zimmer gezeigt, war aber im abendlichen Gastronomiebetrieb sehr kurz angebunden. Gewohnt haben wir zur Straße und den draußen sitzenden Gästen hin, was in Gesprächslärm bis 23:30 resultierte. Danach liefen in regelmäßigem Abstand Betrunkene durch die engen Gassen. Morgens klang dann der Lieferverkehr wie ein Auto direkt im Zimmer. Das Fenster offen zu lassen war unmöglich. Immerhin ein sehr gutes Frühstück und ein angenehmes Zimmer, aber kaum Schlaf.
