"Reception staff were excellent, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast staff very attentive. Pool good, liked adult only swim time. Great to see a hotel of such an impressive age still going strong"

The Lerryn Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"A really comfortable and pleasant hotel in a great location with an easy short walk to the sea. After a pleasant night's sleep, the breakfast was perfect. Highly recommended."
The Alverton
8/10 Good
"The staff is the Best!! We stayed in the adjacent building (not made aware of this in booking) and the steep hill we had to walk everytime we went to our rooms was grueling. Not sure, other than making that known at time of booking, what can be improved upon here, yet.. sigh. Lovely vintage setting!"
Penmere Manor Hotel
8/10 Good
"Big room for 3 people. Nice hotel but a bit old fashioned. Breakfast was nothing special . Nice setting and grounds"
Greenbank Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We booked a balcony room overlooking the harbour with our dog. The staff on reception were wonderful. In our room there was a doggy welcome gift, treats toy poop bags. The room was large and comfortable. Robes slippers and a fan. We should have prebooked a table in the pub as it was busy, and dogs not allowed in the gorgeous restaurant, so thankfully we sat outside. Food and views were great. Close enough to stroll into town. Small green area where the dog could do her business at night and in the morning with handy bins. Hotel is very characterful. I would like to stay in the Florence Nightingale room next time. Parking around the hotel. Highly recommend."
