Lavender Manor is very well appointed spacious clean with excellent hosts. Our stay was only one night could stay longer. Full breakfast was very appetising with fresh juice fruit and cooked how you like. Mistake on advertising with ‘detached bath and shower’. Should read ensuite bath and shower. Duchies restaurant is just wander away with sumptuous meals and superb service

Location, location, location

This is a great place to stay - so well located for Grotto Beach, Dutchies, The Cliff Path, Hermanus Golf Club and the Fernkloof Reserve Trail. Isabel and Kobus are wonderful hosts and Eddie is so helpful. Breakfasts are great as well.

Wonderful service

Fantastic service- friendly and easy going. Personalised without being overbearing. A real skill to have. Enjoyed the wonderful terrace and breakfast. If there was one small downside, it would have to be the soft mattresses- making sleep slightly less comfortable. But for others a soft mattress may be a plus?

Tolle Umgebung - nahe am Strand

Durchaus zu empfehlen. Lärm vom benachbarten Zimmer da Wände und Türen sehr schlecht isoliert sind. Teppich im Zimmer wirkt etwas moderig, ein Holzboden oder Fliessen sind so nahe am Meer besser geeignet. Frühstück sehr gut und Umgebung toll. Freundliche Gastgeber.

Definitely nice place

Without any hesitations I would recommend this hotel. It is a beautiful, cozy, smaller hotel, in which you will feel like home. The owner is incredibly polite and helpful with any information. I had a room with the ocean view which was really magnificent. The room it self was very cozy, with a special atmosphere. If you book a room without ocean view you can use a common room/bar upstairs with the same fantastic view. In the neighborhood there is a good restaurant recommended by Lavender Manor. The restaurant will not disappoint you. Overall, it is worth to stay at Lavender Manor

a good find

lavender manor is very near to the wonderful Grotto beach and the cliff walk into Hermanus. It is a great end of the town--quiet and safe. The owners were away at the time of our stay but Evelyn was 'in charge' for the week. She was so helpful and went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one. The breakfasts were great and we had a fantastic few days. We would definitely stay here again

well appointed guest house

This was our second stay at Lavender Manor. We returned as we had been so impressed with the hospitality on our previous stay. This time did not disappoint. We had a lovely, large room in the annexe behind the main house. Although the view to the sea was only partial, there was also a balcony facing the mountains with a spectacular outlook. The room was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities you could require, and some that a previously reviewed five star hotel did not have. It is a relaxed, warm environment. The owners are friendly and well informed about the area. The breakfasts are generous and homely.

The family room - the only family room at the lodge - was not very nice, unfortunately. Windows facing the parking and a slight smell of wet basement. Overall the lodge is very nice as long as you don't stay in the family room.

Perfect!

We loved our stay at the Lavender Manor. There are great views of the coast and we could see whales from the common rooms. The beach is a close walk and there are wonderful walks along the beach. The breakfast was superb. Our room was comfortable and we loved the little touches of fresh lavender on the pillows and in the bathroom.

Horrible experience and rude manager!!!

Absolutely horrible experience staying at this place. The manager is so rude and very unprofessional to deal with. Changed our room in the middle of our stay to let her friends in our room instead without giving us any choice. When I asked to speak to a manger, she yelled back that she is the manager and the owner of the place. Will never stay there again.
