Socrates hotel is in a great quiet location with the beach, Stalis, Malia strip and the old town all within 10 to 15 minutes walk. The staff were all really helpful and did everything possible to ensure my family had a great holiday. The rooms were cleaned every day with new towels and bottles of drinking water provided. The free buffet breakfast had everything you need from continental to full English and was served in a lovely location by the pool. There were always empty sunbeds around the well maintained pool area and the snack-bar that provided everything from toasties to pasta and meat dishes. My only issue with the area was the number of quad-bikes hired out to young lads who spoiled the walk out on an evening and made crossing the road dangerous. However I would defiantly return to this hotel and would recommend it for couples and families of all ages.
