We went there for our honeymoon, it was amazing. We love every minute spent in Hersonissos. Local people are friendly and helpful. Another tourist are most likely from Germany or Denmark, no loud British. We would like to back to Hersonissos again.

Beautiful and far enough from the airport in Heraklion so that you felt that you were in a remote area. Excellent shopping and beaches. Go to Labyrinth Park! It is fun and educational, too!

Hersonissos was a typical tourist beach side city and lacked much charm. Other sites in the island are more attractive but require a car to ge to.
