We loved this place. It was very clean, peaceful and quiet even though it’s not as secluded as some of the other cabins or lake houses we’ve stayed in. We loved being the hot tub, fishing and napping in the hammocks. Our dog absolutely loved the property too! Corey was very easy to communicate with as well and very quick to respond!

We just got back from a super chill (and very rainy!) weekend in Hiawassee. The weather didn’t slow us down at all—we still had a blast boating( Lake Chatuge Boat rental always 5 stars ) tubing, kayaking, fishing, and hanging out on the dock and screened porch for hours. We enjoyed horse back riding with Brasstown stables. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, which was awesome since the local restaurants are not really anything special, in our opinion. Just a heads up for future guests: the upstairs bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, which we didn’t realize beforehand. Also, the water pressure is way better in the downstairs bathroom. All in all, it was a really relaxing getaway with plenty to do, rain or shine!

Property was just as listed on the website. Property was clean and just perfect for the two of us for the weekend. The gas fireplace and hot tub both worked perfect as you would expect and hope. These are two items that can be iffy when renting. Both were great and the hot tub was the cleanest one we have experienced. We'll be back in the future. Kudos to the owners. Double thumbs up!

Absolute gem of a property. We were two families with 3 kids total. Everything we needed and more to make our stay comfortable and fun! The house has rustic lake charm with updates in all the right places. The yard with beach access to the lake was perfect for adults relaxing and kids playing. We liked lounging and playing in the lake with all the included water crafts, toys and floats, coffee on the dock and porch, short walks with the kids around the neighborhood, and grilling and eating outside together. Everyone loved the hot tub in the morning and afternoons when the sun wasn’t quite hot enough to keep us in the lake. The bedroom situation was a little tight, we shared a room with our kids, which we hate, but we knew that going in and it was well worth the compromise because this place was awesome! From thoughtful extras like a high chair, back up toiletries, condiments and spices, to fun bonus things like toys, games, and streaming services, it’s clear the host goes above an beyond to make/keep this place AWESOME. Can’t wait to go again.

Great location!

My boyfriend, our two dogs, and I had a wonderful stay! We thoroughly enjoyed being right on the lake, and taking advantage of the canoe and stand-up paddleboard made it even more memorable. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Perfect lake front house

We enjoyed our stay, it was the perfect size for my husband and I and 2 teen daughters. Easy lake access, and great fire pit and hot tub! All in all a perfect spot to visit the lake.

Amazing Property and Location

Great location with mountain views and awesome house. Fishing off of the dock was very good and the downtown had plenty or restaurants. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing also. Would definitely stay again!

This place is fantastic. It was even better than the pictures. It has such a good, homey feeling. The location is awesome for hiking and enjoying the lake. Our boys loved fishing. Only caught 3 bass but it was just starting to get warmer after a very cold snap. The beds are comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was great! Our son had a great time on the kayaks. Our pup loved the trip. Although she is an old girl, had no trouble with the stairs since they are carpeted. Also Corey was a very responsive host and was flexible when we asked to shift our days slightly bc of weather. We definitely hope to return!

Wonderful place for a relaxing time

Cory is a great host! The house had everything we needed and the yard was like a fairy garden! We loved the dock and spent lots of time fishing and sitting by the fire.

Great stay with everything we needed!

We stayed here with our 3 and 5 year olds and had a blast. Corey was a great host - easy, prompt instructions for getting in and getting around with recommendations for what to do in the area. Our kids loved playing on the big porches, in the water, on the dock, and roasting marshmallows at the awesome fire pit. Would definitely recommend!

What an amazing stay! We brought our kids and two dogs for fall break and had the best time. The house was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We loved the fire pit in the evenings (lots of places in town to get wood) and spent most of our days down at the dock using the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boards. Don’t forget your fishing gear—we caught bluegill and yellow perch! The host was wonderful and very responsive. We’d 100% stay here again—five stars all the way!!

Best girls trip!

We had a blast this Feb for girls trip! What a perfect cabin! Great kitchen to cook & had wonderful dinner at the nearby resort. We enjoyed the late evenings with a beautiful bonfire, and enjoyed the hot tub!

Perfect Lake Chatuge Getaway!

If you’re looking for a beautiful lakefront spot, with stunning views, privacy, and close proximity town, this home is the one! The house was cozy, immaculate, and provided everything we needed for a lovely girls’ trip. Great host too. We’ll definitely be back!

Mini Vacation

We spent 4 nights at this wonderful home. Enjoyed waking up with views of the lake each morning and the wonderful views. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. I do recommend Brothers Steak House. The host was super easy to work with. The house was very clean just as advertised. We will definitely stay again.

Perfect getaway!

We had the best time here and Corey was an amazing host! Pictures do not do this place justice at all. The small details they thought of to make our stay better went above and beyond any other rental I’ve booked. Lovely Stay at Lake Chatuge

Our family of four & dog enjoyed our stay at Dancing Bear. The property is in a great location being right on the lake & a short drive to town. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch that has a lake view. We took full advantage of the dock, kayaks and SUPs. We rented a boat one day and explored the beautiful lake. This cottage is a great mountain lake escape!

exactly what we were looking for

Arrived, took out shoes off, walked to the water, sat on the deck, sun-bathed, took the kayaks and paddle boards out, read in the patio and waterside ... used the hi tub, and grill, and fireplace and had a great time relaxing. Very responsive and accommodations host. Lover every part of it.

Beautiful lake view

If you are looking for a beautiful sunrise view over the lake, this is for you. It includes a lot of water toys like 2 kayaks and 2SUP. The hammock on the balcony is perfect for afternoon relaxing or if you prefer there is one in the yard. Plenty of outside seating as well as a fire pit. It is located close to hiking and mtn bike trails as well. We had a great trip with our pup.
