Really clean, good condition, great for an overnight stay, but standard room a bit small for an extended stay. "Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. "Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights, on the first night with were arriving at 8.10pm just after the kitchen normally closes. We rang up and nothing was too much trouble, we preordered over the phone and they held off on preparing our meal until we arrived. Food was amazing and we had a lovely few drinks in the pub which has such a warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the log burner, and was a great size. A great stay, we would definitely come again! "

The Sandrock is a little out of the way of the main high street but still only a 5 minute walk to the shops etc. We stayed in room 4 which was clean and well appointed, the en suite was spacious (huge infact!)and the towels really fluffy, it was also super clean and tidy. "We met the owner upon arrive and where made to feel very welcome. The beautiful grounds, house and location was perfect. The family rooms were huge and perfect for little ones. The hot tub and games room was well equipped along with the kitchen. We bumped into the owners family down by the river and were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Thank you"
