"Definitely a must every time I'm in Ely, what a great piece of history this hotel is. If you want brand new this is not it, but instead you travel back in time. The room was clean and smelled good. The 2 drinks vouchers were also much appreciated 👏"

"This is a difficult review because the outside of the property is a dump. The parking lot is rough and muddy. Half the guest vehicles are construction trucks. The stairwell to the second floor is open expanded metal that caused us serious depth perception problems. The second floor walkway was (I assume) outdoor carpet that has been ripped up. The walkway floor is covered with loose glue and sand that gets tracked into the room. The clerk checking us in was as nice and helpful as she could be. The rooms have been updated with standard furnishings. Good lighting. Basic amenities. No Kleenex. I could not figure out the temperature control and woke with a bad sinus headache. "

"A pretty nice hotel as long as you don't mind a bit of casino smell permeating throughout the building. You should know they do not have an elevator. There is a Mexican restaurant in the casino section with good hours so late night or early morning meals are available, but not included with your room. Even though I don't like the smell of casinos, I found the atmosphere pleasing. They have a variety of artifacts and artwork to walk around and view. The room was comfortable and clean with a good refrigerator with a freezer section. The shower has an insufficient barrier to keep water from leaking and puddling on the bathroom floor so do beware the slippery floor."

"The hot water was only lukewarm, the only window was the glass windows in the door making it difficult to open with the curtains closed, bathroom was very small."

"The property is old and decor is dated to the 50’s-60’s era. Overall clean. The thing that would bring me back is Vera! She defines hospitality by her actions like no other! "

"This is an old property, and the new owners are working to improve it and make a good experience for their guests. The check-in was done via texting, and they were very responsive.. The room was clean, and the linens looked very good. They provided a voucher for a free breakfast at a nearby restaurant.. Thank You !"
