When we arrived in High Wycombe, we passed a lovely house with beautiful wisteria blooming all along the sidewalk. We parked, then walked to a pub at the end of the street. After a fun meal in the open air, we left the pub searching for the Malvern House. We were delighted to discover that the wisteria house was indeed our destination.
The gentleman who greeted us was very kind and welcoming. Our ground floor room was just right. We stayed two nights, and revised the pub down the street. All told, we truly enjoyed our stay and would stay at the Malvern House if we ever find ourselves near High Wycombe again.
The room was a disgrace. Although the bed sheets were clean the room was disgusting. I won’t go through it all but we paid before we saw the room and after having a nice meal at a pub along the road we returned to the room, collected our luggage and left. We were not willing to stay there. Lesson learnt. Do not book this place
From the word go this place was amazing from both outside and in. A big shout out to the lovely gentlemen who checked me in after a kind hearted stranger helped me with my baggage due to extreme pain and mobility issues. Check in was speedy, efficient and I was very happy with the hospitality during check in. The room was comfortable, warm and inviting. Easy to get to via the local bus. Very highly recommended. 😊

Adequate for what I needed , very tidy just lacking a bedside lamp because I’m not a young person and had to get out of bed to switch off the light and to feel my way in the dark back to the bed , but everything else was acceptable .
Lovely and helpful staff but overall dismal and frustrating stay. Wi-Fi not working, heating not working and shower gauge broken! Had a cold shower and given a small portable heater to get through the night :(

Lack attention to detail, stayed three nights and bin in room was not emptied once.
Never stayed in a property like it. It was a Hovel. Pot smoker on entrance. Stains on carpet, walls need a lick of paint. Bathroom soap dish rusty. Really tired and in need of a lot of TLC. Party in next room going on till 03.30 with doors banging and a lot of shouting kept us up all night. Had the nerve to charge extra for pets.

Very disappointing!!
pleasant greeting when key handed over. But then very disappointing! Room was dull and felt it needed a freshen up/refurb. Curtains did not fit across the whole window when closed. Small 15” tv with very poor reception.
One positive about the room was the mattresses/beds were extremely comfortable.
Very upset to not have breakfast included despite this being advertised as offered in their own literature and via Hotels.com.
I Would not have booked here due to this had I known beforehand! The Price was paid with an expectation of it being a B&B.
Outdoors, photo on website is not what was on offer- only a picnic bench situated on one side of the front driveway.
However, ample parking space was available.

The property could do with a little modernisation, however, we went for it because of cost, and convenience.
We couldn't check in till we arrived which was half past midnight and the staff were very understanding and checked us in cheerfully!!! I was rather embarrassed that we were so late, but she was so nice.
We were very tired, but, you can't sleep in a bad bed even when tired - So, the beds were great and we slept like a log!!!! The bed was clean, comfy and no issues at all sleeping.
Nice bathroom, no hairdryer but one supplied when asked. Need more coffee and milk and there was no tea, but tbh they would have given us more had we asked.
I would certainly sleep there again!

No breakfast available despite a view of the dining room set up for breakfast being shown.
Not much help with finding suitable places for breakfast or dinner.
No bedside lights.
Thin curtains allowing a lot of light in early in the morning.
We arrived very late and weren’t sure if there is any staff to check us in.

Can't really class this as a hotel, obviously an ex care home, comfy and clean, a bed for the night, you have to drive or get a taxi into town centre. having said that if all you want is a place to lay your head it's cheap.
Overall poor. An acceptable option if you need a room with the bare minimum of facilities, but overpriced in that regard. No breakfast included or even an option; had to specifically request drinking water; room not ready on arrival, nor serviced during a two night stay; hard to communicate with staff given basic English level, albeit polite.

No real complaints, for it's cost adequate. The resident staff member was outstanding, very helpful, responsive and friendly.
The picture shows breakfast, they don't serve it or have a bar.
Tea making facilities in the room were not replenished unless we asked, the cups were not washed or replaced everyday.
Door hanging off the bedside table.
Curtain hanging off its track.
Towels not changed unless we asked.
The next to last day of the stay the room was not touched at all.
No reading lights
Chrome shelf in the bathroom is rusty
Clean property but the mattress needs replacing. The spring on mattress is so bad that I have to use the duvet as the sheet. My colleague had the same issues.
When we arrived there was no immediate access and I had to phone somebody to allow us in. I was advised then there was no option to pay for breakfast. Not shown to our room basically given the key and told it was on the fist floor. On entering the room initial impressions were fair until we looked at the carpet that was very soiled, the bathroom had rusty bathroom accessories, the floor was stained and the shower had dark brown around the seals and the shower base and head were filthy. The bed basically had no working mattress as I would describe as though the springs grabbed your ribs when lying in it and you rolled to the middle and sank to the bottom. Finally when eventually getting 30 minutes sleep for the whole night woke up and realised the tea making facilities had no milk and a single coffee. The one positive was the bedding and towels were clean just a shame the bed wasn’t sleepable and the shower you wouldn’t wish to take the risk of getting god knows what disease.
