Lovely hotel

2nd time we have stayed here, basic but everything we needed, everything very clean, comfortable beds, clean towels, bedding. Tea, coffee making facilities, reception friendly. About 15 minutes walk from shops bars, restaurants, will definitely stay again.

Friends stay

Friendly helpful staff - room very clean , comfortable and pleasant. Lots of light from windows on either side of room and good view of countryside in distance. Nice 10 mins walk into town and had very nice Italian meal at roberto’s Only slight niggle is leak from shower when in use can get floor messy. Stayed only one night but wouldn’t hesitate to use again .

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, we had a minor problem with the shower that was sorted for us straight away. The decor is a little tired, but perfectly serviceable. The layout of the hotel means that we were up a bit of a rabbit run. Only wanted somewhere to sleep and shower, so it was perfect. Only a 10 to 15 minute walk into town.

Reception staff were extremely friendly & check in/out was very easy. The hotel is kept spotless & is nicely decorated. My room was compact but had everything I needed. I did struggle slightly with the shower dials which made for an extremely hot wash - they were very hard to turn when the shower was running. And if I were to nitpick the wall next to the bed had a few marks that ideally could be painted. However this is a drop in the ocean as the rest of the room was immaculate.

Advertised as Breakfast available- not available since 2020. Poor water quality, with no filtration system available or provided. Laundry - staff were great, but laundry/ washing machine was unreliable. No dryer facilities.

We stayed overnight and chose the hotel for parking. Basic hotel with no eating facilities. London Rd is very busy,opposite there is a park-so you can walk around. Local facilities ltd.

Staff at this site was unhelpful and arrogant, all they seems to want to do is to rip you off for money. No good customer service. The place on the photos is not the same in person, run down, dilapidated, dirty and had a bad smelling odour upon entry. I would not recommend this place not even to houses animals. Stay clear.

Value for money

Was not having high expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Room was spacious and clean, bed very comfortable. I was surprised to have to pay extra £10 for my 10 year old son who stayed with me as I booked triple room and originally for only 1 person.
