"First room #101, issued to me had been painted & the minute I opened the door the odor hit me hard. I went to advice Paul at counter & he went to verify how strong the odor was. He said it also hit him before even entering the room #101. He gave me another room upstairs #212. Bathtub had hairs. Breakfast was grab a bag & go. You had to leave a $100 USD deposit. When I was checking out there was a lady who was forgetting to returm my $100 which I had paid cash bcuz if u paid w/ card it would take 3-4 days to be returned. When I first arrived late at night the night before, I walked into the lobby, Paul was on the phone with a woman who her $100 deposit was not returned & Paul kept telling her that he couldn't do anything at that time until next morning when his boss would be there. He told the lady that she could come the next day in the morning to speak to his boss. I don't know if she had paid cash or ccard. I will never stay at another hotel with this name. "

"Check in was flawless. This hotel has a fragrance that is so memorable and I wish I could immerse myself in it. It’s not heavy, it’s clean and iconic. Diana greeted us at check in and she was simply amazing. I had booked a king size room with at random on accident that was ADA compliant. She offered a walk in shower option that we enjoyed much more, the room overlooked the pool. We had stayed here years ago when they first opened for our anniversary and they have remained consistent in their attention to detail. We had a concert to attend and that was our reason for going to Austin. However, staying at the Fairmount is a treat, it’s an event within itself. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was perfection. This is my absolute favorite hotel and I travel often. I can’t wait to return and I know the people and the service will be just the way I fondly remember it. I miss it already! Thank you!!"

"Room had a weird smell. Bathroom door is a slider that didnt even close correctly. Very awkward for a shared room. Breakfast was good. Noce varoety of fresh foods on hand. Staff was friendly, only interaction waa check in."

"This was incredible. Insane how well-made it is. It has an outdoor shower and we even got to see some wildlife! Definitely recommended."
