We felt right at home. I went with my son, and everything was calm, clean, and the staff made us feel like family. Genesis, the manager, is very kind, and Anthony, the chef, makes delicious dishes that we’ll already miss. Henry is also very respectful.
The service here in Départure is truly exceptional. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave. I could stay here all year

The service here in Départure is truly exceptional. The only thing I didn’t like was having to leave😃.I could stay here all year!
Upon arrival at night, the surrounding neighborhood may feel a bit unfamiliar, as it’s a local residential area with people out and about. However, once inside the property, it feels private and comfortable, and by daylight everything felt completely safe.
The property looks very similar to the photos. The rooms are basic but spacious, and the air conditioning worked extremely well. While the water was not very hot, it did not take away from the overall experience.
What truly stood out was the outdoor patio space. The pools, bar, hammocks, lounge chairs, and fresh coconuts created a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The staff, especially Gennesy (apologies if misspelled), was warm and welcoming and made the stay feel very friendly. Meals are cooked to order, served hot, and well seasoned, and the homemade local breakfast was excellent.
I would absolutely return and wasn’t ready to leave.
We checked out of our resort a few days early to explore the local area and booked two nights at The Patio. The room was clean and a comfortable size. Breakfast was included, and the hotel can also prepare other meals upon request for an additional charge. There’s a small swimming pool with a poolside bar, although we didn’t spend much time there. The air conditioning in the room worked very well. The shower water wasn’t very hot, but it was still acceptable given the warm, humid weather.
Overall, for the price, this hotel offers very good value. I would rate it 4 out of 5. The only improvements I would suggest are providing fresh towels daily — we did not receive pool towels, so we found ourselves a bit short — and offering a water dispenser or water cooler in the rooms (or at least in a shared common area).
The property is currently expanding with a new building under construction, which suggests continued improvement in the future. If you are traveling on a budget and looking for a clean and comfortable stay, I would recommend The Patio.
It's a wonderful place wish I had friends or a rental car to move around the stay would have been more enjoyable.if you don't need to spend a lot of money on taxi fare stay closer to the airport it cost me 70usd from the airport to hotel
First I loved the hotel staff, they were kind and very responsive. The food they served to die for, genuinely loved the experience. I laid in those hammocks for hours. Andy was very sweet a d makes great drinks btw. I would say i would book with them again. I woukd say bring cash and also know the area you are in. It was close to the beach however driving to the tourist cities was a little expensive. Plus the stray dogs were adorable.
The moment I walked into this hotel, I immediately walked out. It was nothing like what had been advertised online. The photos and descriptions were misleading, and the reality was disappointing enough that I chose not to stay at all. I ended up booking another property instead, which was a much better experience. This facility should be removed from Expedia, as it is damaging Expedia’s reputation. The property was completely misleading compared to what was advertised. The moment I walked in, I walked right back out—I did not stay in the hotel at all. Because of the false information, I had to spend more money booking another property at the last minute. I am requesting a full refund, as I did not use the facility and was misled by the listing.

As a solo traveler i didnt feel comfortable and didnt stay. No reception area. Noone receive me until 10 minutes of asking and calling. Construction in front of pool. I get the vision of a bnb in a small town but it wasnt for me. Owner tried to accommodate but i was over it.
Check in and got to our room and soon as we walked inside and seen the room we instantly booked another hotel. In the 10 min we was there the AC didn't work, tv didn't work, fridge didn't work and in a very bad part of town. Didn't feel safe even in the daylight. Definitely do not recommend this hotel. It is nothing like the pictures make it seem. I was really hoping this was a nicer place but, you get what you pay for so my expectations wasn't very high and it still didn't meet them.
When we were driving towards the property it's similarity was like driving in the middle.of a war in Somalia. Once we arrived the staff shown it's true colors from the get go. Staff didn't have the courtesy of acknowledging our presence. Told us which room and surprise no bathroom door. When asked where the door was the reply said that it's a cultural dominican tradition. The room smelled exactly as bowel movement. To put a period on this tragedy let's simple say that this property is not even suitable for a dog. Expedia should black list this property

I like the place. The outside area has nothing to do with the inside. Breakfast is served but is not like you choose from the menu. They are doing construction. Making the place bigger. I stood in the room with one bed and one sofa bed. The sofa bed I couldn’t use it. It was broken and we didn’t get extra sheets for it. The AC works great. No fridge. Bathroom has a curtain no door. It didn’t matter to me. Also we did had cabinets and a sink. They provide with parking right across from the hotel. They have security watching over the door. But I came in more than once at night and he was sleeping lol. The pool is beautiful. Wifi only works inside the room.
Hopefully I could visit again when the new building is done.
This place is simple and the area is more for people that know the country.

The rooms were super clean. Very quiet place. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Clean sheets, clean towels. Pool was clean and beautiful. And the owner; he was a delight to chat with. Very helpful with everything. Definitely a spot worth to visit again.
