"Breakfast was fresh every morning with fresh bread sausage bacon eggs. Continental breakfast a great variety of meats cheeses fruit. Staff excellent excellent everything meals. The rooms were spotlessly clean ample parking. It’s just a great hotel well recommended."

"The staff were excellent. I don’t speak German and their English was very good. It’s a lovely hotel in a lovely town. However, next time I would book a double room because the single was very small (like Japanese small). And only had one plug socket which was nowhere near the desk. "

"Hotel Gruener Sand was a very nice place, very clean room, courteous staff, helpful for someone like me that speaks very little German. Dinners were delicious in the little pub, and breakfast was also delicious. Very personalized care, and the only thing that I would recommend for the room(s)m, would be a little apartment size refrigerator. We had some juice drinks that needed refrigeration. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality"

"Modern room with almost all of the amenities you would expect -- refrigerator, TV, kettle -- but there is no AC so be aware. The bathroom was roomy, with a tub/shower (but watch your step getting in). For me this was a convenient location to walk through the old parts of the city and it's narrow, cobblestone roads."
