"This is a small little cottage tucked away on an alley of a quiet neighborhood. It's an older little home with a bit of wear and tear, but still cozy and well stocked! It is within a half mile to the "main strip" of Westerville, which has many restaurants, boutiques, shops, and coffee houses. It was also within a half hour to downtown Columbus. Communication with the hosts was quick - they were so responsive! We were pleased to see little dog bowls and a few other thoughtful items left by the hosts to make our stay comfortable. Checkout was simple with two small tasks - no long laundry list of things to do!"

Peaceful Getaway - Close to Everything

"WOW! Perfection is how I would describe this Galena Getaway. From booking to checkout the communication and ease of process were wonderful! At arrival I was struck by the location. It was close to everything yet felt like a little bit of nature right in the back yard. Secluded sitting area to enjoy birds singing, beautiful flowers & a place to relax & reflect. The hosts covered the big things & the little details. Thanks, Terry! Looking forward to staying again next year for the Memorial Tournament, if not sooner!"

"We didn't get the room we booked, we book a standard king, upon check-in I was told they only have double queens due to overbooking. Not horrible but then go up to our room. It was very hot but just figured it needed turned on or something. Get somewhat unpacked. Start trying to figure out the A/C unit, it's on and set for 60F but just not working. I went down the the desk and was told we have nobody on maintenance tonight, we can put you in an accessible room but that's our only option. We accepted but are traveling with 2 toddlers that usually bath and the accessible rooms have showers and now have to move ourselves and our kids to the new room. But as we looked around during our stay the maintenance on this place was atrocious, the curtains were severely torn (both rooms), holes in the cushions at the seems, no bedding for the pull out bed, both our rooms had 2 sets of towels when we filled out it's a family of 4 at booking, makeup mirror had rusted off in the bathroom at a joint on the arm and just left it on the floor, there was a terribly patched hole in the ceiling in the bathroom where I assume the was once an exhaust, many lightbulbs in ceiling fixtures throughout the halls were burnt out, the indoor pool was freezing cold, the carpet was peeling up in many spots throughout the 3rd floor, I'm sure I can think of more I saw but it just appeared to be zero care or concern to maintain their facility. The only redeeming quality the front staff were very pleasant."

"Our stay was mediocre. We rented a room with a kitchenette, and it wasn't well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, Our trash was overflowing. We had to bag up our own trash and take it out ourselves. We didn't want ants, roaches, etc. because we used the kitchen to cook in. We stayed for 4 days, and our room was only cleaned once. The shampoo and conditioner were empty and I had to go find the maid cart to get more. Same with the towels and wash clothes. I had to hunt down a cart and get my own towels. There was no hair dryer, trash bags, etc. We did use the outdoor grill, which was a nice feature to our stay. I had to find a spatula because there were none outside in the grill area. The trash was overflowing outside as well. Whit claw cans were all over the grilling area. I did do laundry, but the first washing machine was broken, so I had to go to the front desk to get my money back and then switch washing machines. The dryer took two full cycles before it actually dried my clothes. So, double the money to use the dryer. I noticed the windows, elevator doors and walls were really dirty and never seemed to get wiped down. You could spot dirt in the corners of the hallways, and our hallway trash cans were overflowing for 2 days. Pizza boxes were left in the hallway as well. The staff was nice and helpful, but I can't understand why there were no one cleaning anything. There was also no linens for the pull-out couch."
