Beach weekend

Our family enjoyed our stay at Hilton Head. The house is so large, and it was nice to spread out and have plenty of parking. The location is amazing - a short walk to the beach. The house is a bit dated, but the beds are comfortable and all the appliances worked great. It was very dog friendly. We enjoyed having a private pool. We would stay here again.

Perfect wedding, perfect house!

Wonderful! We all convened on Hilton Head for a wedding. The house was perfect for the 6 of us....plenty of space, comfortable furniture and beds. Very clean. It was a short walk to the beach. We also enjoyed the pool at the house.

Great location!!!

The location of this house was perfect for our group! Great proximity to the beach, shopping and dining! The size and space of the house are great for a larger group. We were bummed that we couldn’t use the hot tub or pool due to the cold weather. WiFi was not great and we had to buy batteries for the TV remotes. We had an issue concerning the floors and the manager responded quickly with a solution to get through the rest of our stay. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Relaxing and Beautiful Hilton Head

The house had just what we needed. Spaces for all, bedrooms are great! A beautiful walk to and from the beach just a few steps away from the house. House is away from the busy of downtown but a walk or short bike ride will get you there. You feel like you have the beach to yourself as the area is private to the few houses in the neighborhoods surrounding. Beach is flat and very walkable or ridable with a bike. We love it here!

Christmas on HHI

Comfortable, modest property in excelllent location. Pet-friendly, jogging/bike trails, and uncrowded winter beach. Everything worked (did not try hottub) properly, comfortable sleeping environment, and plenty of parking. Only eye-raiser were dips in flooring in traffic areas indicating problems in subfloor. Enjoyed the property and would rent again.

Family getaway

steps away from the beach. The beach was semi secluded. House was very nice, lots of pool- beach toys. Chairs for the beach and a wagon is included. The bathrooms are 3 full and a toilet only downstairs a shower outside yhat can not be used for anything other than removing sand w ur suit on. it is not private or enclosed. The neighborhood is quite and peaceful very close to shops and food.

Great Stay at 1 Nighthawk

We had two families of 9 total people staying in the house, and found it to be well furnished and stocked for families. The pool was a favorite of the kids, and the instructions on the stairs for how to use the spa made our enjoyment of it easy. We loved that there were some beach items: wagon, boogie boards, sand castle items, pool floats in the garage. Very short walk to the beach which made coming and going very easy. The dryer had an issue while we were there and it was addressed quickly and did not impact our stay. We appreciated the communication throughout. Thank you for a great stay!

Summer Vacation at Hilton Head

The property was lovely and as expected. It was clean and everything was working well. Wifi was spotty, not sure if that is a HIlton Head issue or a property issue. Overall, no complaints.

too many problems to list here-a few are: Functionality; Problems with pool/spa heater Safety; front door threshold broken/sharp (bare foot danger)-grill needs serviced (much grease/flammable) Upkeep; dishwasher is toast/rusted/bathroom sink clogged

House has potential

Pros are the size and location of this home. It is set up really well with the den having a pocket door on one side and French glass doors on the other. I purchased a travel blackout curtain from Amazon that attached with suction cups worked great. Called the property manager twice and never received a reply.

Excellent location for biking around the island

We are active 59 year olds and brought our bicycles on this trip. This house was perfect for us. From this house you can walk a short distance to a beach access entry which is very convenient plus the packed sand on the beach is great for biking. (Side note, bring your own beach towels as there are none.) The paved walking/bike path is directly across the street. The home is situated about .5 miles from Coligny Beach, shopping and restaurants. After a couple busy days of biking to Harbour Towne (18 miles biking round trip) and to Fish Haul Beach (22 miles biking round trip) we hung out on the front porch as the back yard pool area is shaded in the afternoons and we wanted some sunshine. The king master bed was comfortable. The house was stocked well with kitchen supplies and bath towels. There are quite a few stairs; all the houses are built on stilts and over the garage area in the quiet neighborhood.The flooring as mentioned in the post does look newer. There seems to be a structural dip in the floor but still functions as it should and does not appear to be a safety hazard.The pool cleaners came a day after we arrived which was nice. Please note, the leaves fall in the pool from nearby trees which is not a big deal in my opinion. It may be just a spring time issue. It shouldn't stop anyone from swimming as the water was clean, although a bit cool for my liking. All in all, we were very pleased with this house.

Family vacation

Nice property stayed 2 times 2 years nice to see some updates. I would suggest a kcup coffee maker be added. We missed ours. Also Bikes were there 1st time not the second time. I counted on that and almost didn't get any because of high demand. All had great time can't beat the short walk to beach.

Be aware of the property manager

My family & I booked a two week MUCH needed vacation to HHI. Six of us in total. We specifically chose this property for the pool, hot tub & proximity to the beach. The house was nice enough, but for the price, we expected A LOT more!!! Upon arrival, (after a 12 hour drive) we decided to jump into the pool and enjoy the hot tub. We immediately realized the hot tub was not working, so we quickly called Dawn Roberts, the Property Manager. She was nice at first and asked us if we followed the directions given, which we had. Still nothing. She said she would get back to us. The next day we heard nothing which was initially fine because it was Sunday. We assumed we would hear back on Monday. Nothing. My FIL called her and left a message to follow up regarding the hot tub & to also inform her that the fridge handle was coming loose. No return call. Tuesday night, we sent her an email saying that we were disappointed in the lack of communication on her part & that this issue needs to be addressed. We received an email later that night from her stating that she has been in communication daily with the pool company (she never communicated this to us AT ALL) and that "it's 10:45pm and I am sweating sitting on my back deck so I can't even imagine wanting to be in a hot tub right now." How we spend out vacation is none of her business. IF someone even came out to the pool to check, we were not notified of this & the hot tub STILL did not work. We sent a video of us trying to operate the system per her instructions & nothing worked. She also never responded to that email. It wasn't until my Mother in Law sent her another email stating that her professionalism was horrendous & for what we are paying per week we expect things to be in working order and a property manager to actually manage the property. We were there an entire week with no working hot tub!!! Dawn did absolutely nothing to remedy this issue in the least bit. My in-laws ended up leaving an entire week early because they didn't enjoy their stay in a home where they weren't made to feel welcome. We spent a lot of time enjoying our friend's rental home with a workable hot tub. I called VRBO to discuss this issue. They reached out to Dawn Roberts to see what she would do to rectify this situation, she refused any sort of compensation. She also hasn't returned our items that were left behind!! We travel extensively and have NEVER been treated this way. Find another rental in HHI with less hassle!!!!!

Perfect for a bachelorette group

We had a great stay at 1 nighthawk. Had a group of women and we truly enjoyed all amenities and the house was a close as you can get to being on the beach!! Loved being in NFB. Dawn was great!
