Even though the hotel is a bit older, I slept wonderfully and the food in the restaurant was fantastic! (We had pork with spatzle, chicken soup, Dubai Chocolate drink and an Aperol Spritz). "First time there. Will be back! A definite recommend if you are in the area to see the castles. Staff is very helpful and most speak English quite well. Each building is its own look, feel and room type. There are elevators but expect some walking and there are hills. Not like the hill to the castle (take the bus or horse carriage). Try it. Make your own opinion. I loved it. "
"We had another wonderful stay at Hotel Bayerischer Hof — just as on our previous visits. The service was warm and attentive, the breakfast was EXZELLENT, and the atmosphere of the hotel is so charming and inviting. It really feels like a home away from home, and we always appreciate the care the staff puts into making guests feel welcome.
The only downside this time was that our room faced the church, and the bells were very loud, ringing every hour. Even every 15min.— Also late night and early in the morning. Unfortunately, this did disturb our sleep quite a bit.
That said, we still truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel. For light sleepers, it might be worth requesting a room that does not face the church.
