Lovely staff. We had a spacious, spotlessly clean room. Tea kettle available with green tea. The most exceptional things about the hotel are the staff and the cleanliness of this traditional type of accommodation. The onset was a nice bonus in a very economical room central to everything on the island.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’hôtel Sakuraya et regrettons de ne pas avoir pu y rester plus longtemps ! La chambre tradition vue mer était juste incroyable et nous avions accès au bain public gratuitement. Le personnel est tellement gentil et au petits soins ! L’hôtel est parfaitement situé à quelques pas du ferry lorsque vous arrivez, cela permet de déposer les valises dès l’arrivée, puis les zones d’intérêt sont à quelques pas. Vraiment je recommande, nous avons passer l’un des meilleurs moment de notre voyage !

Las habitaciones no tienen ducha pero el hotel tiene un onsen en el sótano para uso de los huéspedes que no nos esperábamos, fue una sorpresa muy agradable. El hotel está muy bien situado frente al mar y en el paseo que va del ferry a la calle principal. A destacar la amabilidad del personal del hotel. También es una experiencia el dormir en un futón, no es lo mismo que una cama pero si vas a Japón no puedes irte sin haberlo probado.

Accueil excellent, rapide et efficace. L'hôtel est situé très près de l'arrivée du ferry en provenance d'Hiroshima, ce qui est idéal pour l'installation. Chambre de type japonais, avec futons et douche partagée. Table basse permettant de faire un petit repas dans la chambre. Bains publics japonais au sous-sol. Le tout très propre et avec une déco très soignée. Le soir, Miyajima est très calme et c'est très agréable de voir le torii de nuit, à 5 minutes de l'hôtel. Une très belle adresse pour profiter de Miyajima !

This is a delightful hotel run by very helpful and friendly people, and we had a wonderful stay. We were in one of the Japanese-style rooms with a view of the water, which was amazing. The room was very comfortable. The oysters cooked at the place at the hotel entrance were great.

Miyajima est une île ultra-touristique insupportable entre 9h et 17h. Nous avons fait le choix d’y rester 2 nuits pour profiter des matinées et fin de journée calmes. Et d’aller à Hiroshima un après midi en revenant par le dernier ferry. Compter 1h de tram entre l’embarcadère et le centre, 1h20 jusqu’à la gare Shinkansen. Des qu’on s’éloigne du bourg et qu’on prend la peine de marcher (mont Misen des 6h, monastère Daisho-in).

If I could rate this hotel 11/10, I would. Breathtaking views from our gorgeous room with tatami, futon and private bathroom. There's a traditional Japanese shared bath in basement too. It's about 200m from ferry and 300m or so from the shrine. Don't stay anywhere else
