"The property is located in a very picturesque place. You have a lot of privacy and the perfect place to enjoy the Aurora! Well equipped. We stayed two nights. 15 minutes drive to Höfn. The local pool is very nice too."

"We were greeted by the friendly owner. Having a kitchenette and living area was a welcome sight. Our first night (different hotel) was a very small room so the extra space was a welcome relief. The room was very clean and the views were stunning. There is a small deck with chairs to sit and enjoy the view. GPS had difficulty finding this but luckily we found a very helpful person to send us back in the correct direction. It is right on the ring road so it shouldn't have been a problem."

"Very cute, as pictured. Clean and comfortable beds. A nice fan in the loft. There's 3 cabins in a row so you have to close the shades for privacy but all the windows have black out shades. Was extremely windy while we were there, not sure if that is common there. The house stayed cozy even with the extreme winds, power and internet worked fine. "

"I want to especially mention the great staff. It appears to be family staffed with the owner, Artur, manning the daytime reception. He was a great gentleman and very helpful giving information on local sights to see. When our next stop at Media Luna Guesthouse in Seydisfjördur went bad because we were not given the check-in codes until very, very late, it was an easy decision to stay a third night at Hotel Jokull. This is a great place to view the nearby Vesturahorn range, Skutafoss, and the Red Chair. "
