It was a very nice appart-hotel in a good area with great public transport. We could be in the town centre in 20 minutes by tram and t-bana. What seriously let it down was the bed ! It was very narrow for a double, the duvet was inadequate and the mattress very thin. Probably OK if you're a bit younger but not for a couple in their late 50s.

I had initially planned on splitting my week long stay in Stockholm between 2 hotels but ended up staying at the Sparrow for the entire trip. The Superior King room that I had was so comfortable, I didn’t want to leave! The hotel is located in a nicely maintained old building which adds to the charm, with several common areas to discover. I loved the complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. Just note that the restaurant and wine bar are closed on Sun-Mon, but there are other wonderful dining options within walkable distance. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is right across the road from the Arlanda Express from the airport and the main shopping street is at the other end of the street, so in a perfect location. I was in a single room with a spare bed which was small but not any smaller than other singles I've stayed in although the bathroom was very small. The room had a kettle, fridge, tv, a socket at the mirror for the hairdryer, full length mirror, but hanging space was not full length. The bed was more comfortable than it looked. No safe in room but safety deposit boxes downstairs at reception. Hotel was clean, felt safe as a single female, staff all pleasant. Breakfast lots of choice but maybe could have been hotter, the eggs were warm but not hot. Ate in the restaurant downstairs which was also very good. The only downside was the heating in the room - just a dial and I couldn't get it right had to keep fiddling with the control as either too hot or too cold. Would recommend Stockholm as a city break and this hotel is perfect for a few day away.
