The hotel was in a great location, right by Omicho Market and only 10 to 20 minutes walk from the various historical districts in Kanazawa. It's also close to multiple shrines, the castle, and the Kenroku-en Gardens. When I told a staff member that I wanted to do a day trip to Yamanaka Onsen, they gave me some tips on getting there. We stayed at a "sister" hotel in Osaka and found this one to be either newer or better maintained than the one in Osaka. I found this property very attractive in its natural, zen style architecture and furnishings. The Japanese "onsen" (hot springs bath) was in a natural setting surrounded by trees and rocks and offered a view of the stars while soaking in the hot springs.
