A lovely and peaceful location. The staff were incredibly hospitable. While the room is basic and shows its age, it was perfectly adequate for the nightly rate. Lot of space to park the car.

The hotel is very charming and cosy, in a wonderful location with great views. It's close to the main road and there is a grocery shop and a cafe within a 10 minute drive. We were greeted by the staff at the entrance, given the key and then we were free to explore the area and take in the surrounding views. The room was spacious but cosy, functional and very clean, the bed was comfortable and warm. The building has seen better days, but everything is clean and well taken care of, so our stay was very pleasant.

Rustic retreat center to make Flam ferry.

This is a rather rustic retreat center, up on a pass on the road between Oslo and Flam. We chose it because it is within range of catching the first ferry in Flam, and it worked quite well for that. The breakfast was solid. The people running the establishment are very nice, and offered some waffles as there was no where nearby to catch dinner at the time of night we got it. Nice drive to and from the location.

Koselig overnattings-sted! Fjellstuen er ikke nyoppusset som helhet, men ordentlig overalt innendørs. Pent og rent rom, god seng, velfungerende baderom, stille og rolige omgivelser. Imøtekommende personale, spesielt han i resepsjonen. Vi kjøpte ikke frokost eller middag, så det har vi ingen erfaring med. Hadde vi skullet tilbringe mer tid her, hadde det nok vært fint med et tiltrekkende ute-område, noen stoler, noe for barna på en klippet gressplen osv, men ikke nødvendig for oss, bare en ide :-) Takk for oss, vi kommer tilbake!

Ett bra övernattningshotell. Ägaren mycket service minded och hjälpsam. Vi ordnade vår egen kvällsmat i en av utrymmena, och frukost hade vi inte beställt. Synd att de inte har fler gäster. Rummen var välstädade och fullt ok. Ej tv, men det behövs inte alltid. För en övernattning, passade oss perfekt.
