Family Fun

The only issue with this property is the water pressure. This is a three story home. The bottom floor has wonderful water pressure. The second floor has adequate pressure but the top floor water pressure is so low it’s like taking a shower in misting rain. The house itself was gorgeous and a wonderful beach view within steps of the beach. The surrounding town is within walking distance to all stores and restaurants.

Classic Surf City Beach House!

Loved our stay in Surf City. This is a classic beach house that is right on the ocean. Double decks were great for hanging out and listening to the ocean all day and night. So relaxing and fun there!

Beach house fun

This property had plenty of space inside for kids. The deck looking over the beach was very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location and well furnished house

My family of 15 stayed at Papa Jer’s. We had plenty of room and everything we could need. The deck was newly built and the porch swing was a big hit. The kitchen was well equipped. I hope to stay here again soon.

Needs good scrubbing .

I have rented through VRBO many times and have never given a bad review nor experienced such a dirty house. All the showers and baths are moldy. Dirt and mold around register vents. The house has good bones but needs a good scrubbing.

Great beach view and access

The property was great for us and our extended family. There were plenty of places to be alone or together and the high ceilings made everything feel very airy and open. It has a very well supplied kitchen. We enjoy cooking together so this place was perfect for that. We enjoyed the access to the ocean everyday many times and loved being able to watch the action from the main deck when we were just hanging out. The need for linen service was a bit frustrating as we did not want to spend another $375 but neither did we want to lug sheets and towels in from Texas. Also slightly frustrating was the broken hurricane shutter which allowed no access to the top deck for the entire time that we were there (Wed - Tue) (it was fixed on the Tuesday before my sister and her family left) Overall a lovely experience
