"While the hotel is in a beautiful location and it’s a very interesting hotel, we were very disappointed to find out after we arrived that the entire staff was on strike and had been on strike for weeks. It was never mentioned in the booking and it certainly impeded on our visit. No room cleaning, the hotel restaurant only served 2 items on the dinner menu; hamburgers and a fish dish. The bar was out of vodka and the bartender said he was sorry but they weren’t getting any more for a few days (after our departure). The one breakfast we had was served on paper plates and service of course was lacking. Again, the location was terrific, but I felt like I was taken because the rate was still the same, but literally no service. I would stay at an another location in the future. The management really didn’t make any apologies for the shortcomings while charging full price."
