Dating back to the 16th-Century, these 3 stone-built barn conversions can be found just a mile from the centre of bustling Holmfirth, in the heart of the breath-taking Holme Valley. They each enjoy an enviable location on the edge of the Peak District National Park, and are perfect for small families, friends and couples alike. One (UK33732) also benefits from a hot tub just perfect for relaxing after a hard days exploring. Set on a working cattle farm, they also offer a wonderful rural experience where you’ll find free range chickens roaming freely.
The surrounding area is home to the most spectacular countryside, perfect for exploring and most recognisable from the popular BBC TV series ’Last of the Summer Wine’. Keen cyclists also flock to the area to recreate routes from when ’Le Tour de France’ came to visit. Quite uniquely, Holmfirth is home to its very own vineyard which provides a day out with a difference, complete with unrivalled, panoramic views. In the town centre itself you’ll find restaurants, wine bars, pubs and take-aways that cater for all tastes. Both the Peak District and Yorkshire Pennines are easily accessible, and you can reach Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and York within an hour.
