"The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The location opposite the beach is delightful and quite quiet - and very convenient for the West Somerset Railway which is warmly recommended as an arrival route."

"Lovely converted building, well equipped, although if there were 4 people, just one bathroom with toilet might be an issue. We were there at Christmas and it was warm without needing the log burner. Very quiet and dark at night. Very comfy beds. Outdoor welly boot rack, and plenty of hooks inside the kitchen cupboard for outdoor wear.Although no food provided (as they state - to avoid waste) in addition to what is listed, they do provide tea towels, kitchen towels, oven gloves, cling film, foil, dishwasher tabs and liquid, bin liners, dishcloth and brush - helpful to know what not to bring, There is also a Karcher machine to remove the condensation on the windows.TV is freesat only, so we brought our Firestick, which was helpful. Parking would be tight if both cottages had large SUVs."
