We stayed in Room 1. It was spotless and spacious with tea and coffee and bottled water. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was outstanding with a good selection of hot and cold options including full and small English to healthy vegetarian options. We chose The Ship Inn because of its location within walking distance to the beach and the ability to easily get on walking trails. I enjoyed everything about my stay. Excellent room, good facilities, very friendly staff and a delicious (and filling) breakfast. You can’t beat the location. Right in the center of Holt.

We love Burlington Bertie’s - it is a fantastic place to stay. So much attention to detail with lovely breakfast, home cooked cookies and the mini jelly babies are my husband’s favorites! Everything so comfortable and all the staff so friendly. Can’t recommend it enough.

It felt like home. A short walk to the bus depot gave me access to all surrounding sites, or an easy 25 minute walk to city centre. Tea and coffee, juice and bread on hand. Two friendly dogs that were all talk at first became friends during the first encounter.

Absolutely wonderful, breakfast is cooked to perfection, rooms are quiet and efficient, Staff is very nice and very helpful.

Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very individual inn with amazing restaurant facilities and a good choice of beers! Slight downside was the fact that our room just had Velux windows which didn't open and it was a bit stifling at night. There were no other windows except for a small one in the ensuite. We were late in booking so at least we had a lovely clean room! Bed was very comfy. Overall: would we go back there? Yes, certainly!!

What an incredible place, fantastic food and wonderful staff. Lovely countryside experience. Can’t wait to go back.
