"Stayed at the Renaissance Spa Hotel and had a great experience overall. Shawn at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the start. I stayed on the 19th floor with beautiful city views and a partial ocean view. I spent 7 nights there, and the room was consistently clean and comfortable thanks to excellent housekeeping. It’s about a 20-minute walk to Waikiki, which is nice if the weather isn’t too hot. Otherwise, the hotel offers a shuttle service that runs every two hours. Uber rides typically ranged from $9–$15, though Lyft was consistently a bit cheaper. There is a $50 daily destination fee, which is provided back as a credit to use at Sera on the property. While the credit is a nice perk, the experience at Sera didn’t feel very welcoming. I’ve shared a more detailed review about that separately. Overall, still a convenient and enjoyable stay."

"The shops were very convenient and nice. The food was excellent. However… the crowds are big, and the beaches were littered with homeless tents. Homeless men were screaming at the top of their lungs. Walking by their encampments was bad, the stench of human filth was unsettling. Walking on the beach at night was sketchy. I loved Hawaii. I did not like the Hawaiian Village. Waiting for en elevator every day took ten minutes because the lines were long. I was traveling solo. I needed to feel safe."

"This hotel was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The facilities included a laundry room for guests. The area is safe and the local bus stops right outside the hotel. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant but there many options near by."

"From the moment I stepped into the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort, I had an amazing experience. The hotel was clean, welcoming, and the check-in process was quick and seamless. My room was ready upon arrival, which made everything even easier after a long travel day. The staff truly stood out during my stay. Everyone—from the front desk to the bar and restaurant teams—was friendly, attentive, and easygoing. Housekeeping was especially wonderful; my room attendant was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The views from my room were absolutely breathtaking, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was consistently maintained. The amenities exceeded my expectations—from the pool area to the dining options, everything was well-kept and enjoyable. As a solo traveler, feeling safe and comfortable is extremely important to me, and this hotel delivered on both. I felt completely at ease the entire time, which made my trip even more enjoyable. I have no complaints—only great things to say. The staff truly goes above and beyond, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Waikiki."

"Property was incredible with lively views. I got two rooms; the accessible one had a larger bathroom and toilet space but the shower was a bathtub unlike the photo that featured a shower head and walk in shower, the shower in the regular room was also a bathtub and it would creak at any movement (as if it were to break at any moment for some reason). The walls in the room were questionable with some stains and a greasy handprint near the door (which the doors to both rooms seemed ajar and loose- either flimsy handle or the door was askew from the doorframe). Other than that the property was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. (That being said if you have accessibility issues or can’t ascend/ descend escalators/stairs there’s a separate elevator that’ll take you from the first floor to the third floor where you can hop onto whichever tower elevator you need- including this because we weren’t told upon arrival just had to look/ask around for it - hope this helps!!) :)"

"I have tried the property twice to see what people are giving it good reviews for. The rooms are extremely old, the furnishings are poor and there are no amenities. You have to pay for the Gym if you want to use it, the pool is sub par, it is not worth it. I would pay a little more and stay at the AC or another hotel in the future."
