Milena is a great host, going above and beyond for her guests. The kitchen is well-stocked and she provides some K cups. The closet came equipped with snorkel gear and beach chairs, which saved us the cost of rentals at Hanauma Bay. The property has an amazing view of downtown and is right in the thick of Waikiki with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. She provided us with fantastic local suggestions for food and gave some insights into parking and everything else we needed for a smooth check-in. The property has a gym and pool as well, which can be nice after a day in the city. Biggest downside is the price of parking in the garage ($45 a night for multinight rates), but that's the complex and not this particular listing. Absolutely worth the cost. Book this property now.

The room was small but cozy, she even had some things stocked in the bathroom that u might need in case of an emergency or if u forgot something. It was a pretty view of the Hawaii mountains and palm trees, and a little river with canoes. She provided extra towels and tissue and there was utensils and cookware just in case u needed them. The only “bad” thing was the air conditioner didn’t get cold enough for my liking. Had to open the windows just to get a nice breeze. But would recommend this place to stay at, it has a lot of food trucks nearby and little gift shops as well. 9/10 rating!

Overall we had an amazing stay here. Room is perfect sized, clean, and comes well equipped as well. Close to the beaches, restaurants, shopping and more. Host is responsive, caring and organized. Cannot rate it any higher!!

We LOVED our stay! TBH, after reading some not so great reviews of the Monarch I was a bit nervous. Thankfully it far exceeded our expectations. Such a clean, light, comfy space. Loved the pool and jacuzzis. Great location - we walked to beaches, shops, and restaurants (the adjacent food truck campus was a bonus).The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked. There were also beach chairs, snorkel gear, umbrellas, sunscreen, hair and body products, lots of towels, just about everything we could possibly need.Note that there's no table and chairs for eating, so be prepared to eat on the bed or comfy recliner chair. The gym will cost you a one-time fee of 5 (cash). We didn't rent a car but if we had wanted to they are available on site. Also, the malasadas (Hawaiian cream filled donuts) at the Maleko cafe on the ground floor are to die for!Our host Milena was very responsive and helpful. It was a great value for the price. 100% would stay there again!
