Working Vacation

Studio was smaller than I expected and when I booked the Unit, there was no mention that construction would be occurring in the Unit next door. However, I understand that there may always be scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, but every attempt should be made on the listing to disclose so the Consumer can decide the booking. Additionally, I recommend the Owner configures the Unit to add storage so you can unpack a suitcase due to limited space. Overall, the Unit was ok but my trip was disrupted due to the construction. clothing away.

My husband and I stayed at this property for our 20th anniversary in June. We had a great experience, the staff were always kind and helpful, even though it was technically a VRBO booking. Property management was attentive and available to us if we needed. The condo is smaller but clean and is stocked with the essentials. The view from the balcony is wonderful but it's a very narrow balcony and even though they have a couple of stools on it, I am doubtful anyone could relax comfortably out there. The pool and outdoor grill/eating area are lovely and well maintained. The pool did feel a bit too warm for us a couple of times after being out in the sun all day but we are Canadian and used to lake swims so that was likely just an us thing lol. Our only real issue would have to be parking. Street parking is metered and canal street parking is free but is even more difficult to find a space. Valet parking at $50 USD, cash only, for 24 hours was a steep price but we were forced to pay it a couple of times. Being our first trip to Hawaii we weren't sure where to stay or about necessary transportation, so we learned a lot. It's a very walkable area, a vehicle is not necessary at all, unless you want to leave the Waikiki area. Even then, there are shuttles to the popular parts of Oahu. We had a great first trip to Oahu and overall enjoyed our stay here very much!
