We absolutely would stay here again. House looks like it's newly renovated, new furniture, very clean, all very nice, really adds to the relaxing view and kayaks.
Beautiful, well appointed property on a quiet lake. Very clean. Plenty to do in the area. We very much enjoyed our stay. Owner very responsive to questions. I highly recommend!
This property was everything we could have asked for and more. It has an awesome view right on the water. It is updated and clean. It was a great place to use as a home base while exploring Northern Michigan or just relaxing on the lake. We will likely be back next year.
Everything about this property is top notch! Everything we needed was on hand - from the well-stocked kitchen to detergent for the washing machine and dishwasher to a jar of toiletries in case we forgot something. The host quickly responded to all of our messages. We loved how private the location was and are already considering a return trip.
We had a wonderful week staying in this cottage. It is absolutely beautiful and everything you might possibly need is provided. The cottage is immaculate, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are so comfortable. We spent most of our time on the gorgeous deck enjoying the view of Little Platte Lake. Colette is friendly and communicative, helping to make this trip one that we will cherish forever. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We are already looking forward to next year!
Everything about the home and the lake is just perfect. The home has been thoughtfully appointed with all the necessities (plus so many extra touches) you need for the week. We spent a few days on the quiet lake enjoying kayaking, fishing, playing bags and just relaxing. So peaceful at night, sitting on the back porch with the gas fireplace enjoying the stars and quiet (with the occasional loon). Great location for day trips to Frankfort, Elberta Beach, Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and wineries on Leelanau Peninsula. Hated to leave but plan to be back again!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
The property was very clean and welcoming. Perfect view of the lake and we had fun using the kayaks and paddle boards. Would definitely stay here again! Colette was awesome!
This was the perfect lakeside property to relax. Beautifully curated decor and well stocked. Very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the long week sitting on the deck or dock enjoying all of the unexpected birding. Loons every morning.
This is the second year I’ve stayed here for the week of Ironman Michigan 70.3. We turn it into a mini vacation. We love this cottage. The view is great. We’ve enjoyed using the kayaks and SUP boards, hanging out on the deck or dock, or taking short trips to the nearby attractions. Highly recommend.
This was the best VRBO property we've stayed in by FAR. Colette was an excellent host, and very accommodating when our arrival schedule changed. The house had everything we needed for a week up north - all we had to bring were our clothes! The house was very clean with plenty of space for our family of four (including two tweens). My husband and I had to work one morning and had no problems with internet connection. The location is perfect for exploring the area, although we also enjoyed staying at the house and playing on Little Platte Lake with the kayaks and SUPs. Colette's recommendations for things to do and places to go were top notch - we tried many of them! We look forward to staying again.
I have stayed an VRBO rentals all over the world. This is by far the best rental we have had with regards to thoughtfulness of design, sweet treats left for renters and the extent to which the home was stocked (kitchenware, beach towels, stand up paddle boards, kayaks). Colette did a wonderful job communicating with us before, during and after our trip. She was very accommodating with regards to arrival/departure times and had wonderful suggestions regarding local eateries, beaches, wineries. She surprised us with scones, wine and free drinks at a sweet local cafe. The lake is quiet and peaceful. We caught 3 and 5 pound bass on the dock. It was a quick drive to Frankfort, Glen Arbor and Leelanau Peninsula. I hope to return several times in the future!
Had a wonderful week on Little Platte Lake at this GORGEOUS home. From the beautiful pictures I knew the house and location would be nice, but I was still blown away by how amazing it was. The entire home has been recently renovated top to bottom, with lovely finishes and every convenience you could want. The lake-themed decor is stylish and comfortable, with plenty of spots to relax and take in the amazing views of the lake. We enjoyed the massive deck from morning to evening. The dock provided a great spot to fish, launch one of the provided kayaks or SUPs, or just relax and watch the sunset or listen to the loons. The location made a great jumping off point for trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes or one of the many beautiful Lake Michigan beaches nearby. Check-in was a breeze. Communication with Colette was top notch and she was so helpful with any questions we had. Hope to return soon!
What a beautiful place to spend a week of relaxing and site seeing. This cottage is absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities you didn’t even realize you needed. It was the perfect location to spend time on a quiet and scenic lake or close to so many must see attractions like beaches and dunes and quaint towns with fun shops. Collette has the cottage decorated straight out of a magnolia magazine. She also had Michigan cherry scones (which were perfect with my morning coffee) as well as special mini coffee samplers and a bottle of wine waiting for our arrival. And then there are the bathrooms! I wish I could have moved those adorable bathrooms to Ohio with me. I wish I could just move in and live there, it is so warm and inviting. I’m going to miss that morning coffee on the patio or dock staring at the incredible view. I can’t say enough to describe the wonderful experience we had. Hands down, the best VRBO I’ve ever been to. Do yourself a favor and rent this place, you will be so happy!
