Holiday Inn Express & Suites Junction City by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my week-long stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Junction City, Kansas! While the accommodations have been great, what truly made this stay memorable was the exceptional customer service provided by Erika, the wonderful young lady working the afternoon and evening shifts. Let me give you an example of why outstanding customer service is still alive and well at this hotel! On our first day, we were told that complimentary cookies would be available each afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, on the second day of our stay, the oven broke. Most places would have simply apologized and discontinued the cookies until the oven was repaired. But not Erika! She took it upon herself to go to a local store and purchase cookies so that the guests wouldn't have to go without. Now, was having cookies a big deal? Of course not. But it's the little things like this that separate ordinary customer service from exceptional hospitality. Erika didn't have to do that, but she genuinely cared about the guests and their experience. We travel to Kansas every year to hunt, and I can confidently say that I will be staying at this Holiday Inn Express again next year, largely because of the kindness and thoughtfulness Erika demonstrated throughout our stay. I sincerely hope the hotel's leadership and ownership recognize Erika for going above and beyond her responsibilities. Employees like her are an incredible asset to any business, and they deserve to be appreciated."
