Blue Moon Cabana is a beachfront house for rent facing the Caribbean Sea in the lovely Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins, Belize.

The cabana is centrally located in one of the most popular areas of Hopkins Village and is within walking distance of restaurants/bars, shops, and other popular establishments. It has a full-service kitchen (cook not included!), 2 bedrooms with full-size beds, living room with full-size futon, and a tiled bathroom.

Enjoy your own private cabana right on the beach! You will no doubt be spending a lot of time in one of the hammocks out on the 8-foot wide covered veranda that spans the entire front and one side of the cabana. Surrounded by windows, you will enjoy stunning views and breezes flowing directly off the sea. Tastefully decorated and furnished with locally-crafted mahogany furniture, Blue Moon Cabana has everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed, while maintaining a Caribbean rustic-charm.

The cabana was designed with an open floor plan that allows guests to enjoy the fabulous breezes that flow throughout the house. The two bedrooms are separated by an enclosed bathroom, and there are bamboo curtain panels for each bedroom that can be closed for additional privacy.

Baby Blue Cabana is an additional (smaller) one-bedroom cabana on the property, including a full-size bed, bathroom, kitchenette, and front veranda. Situated behind Blue Moon Cabana, Baby Blue Cabana enjoys sea views, has a separate walkway out to the public beach, and is steps from the sea. Baby Blue Cabana has an open floor plan and is perfect for a single guest or couple. Staying in the larger beachfront Blue Moon Cabana and need extra space for your party? Hopkins is a friendly village and because Blue Moon Cabana is located in the center of Hopkins, you can walk to everything. You can also rent a bicycle, motorbike, or golf cart to get around. Blue Moon Cabana is situated on a private beachfront lot and because we're in a village we do have neighbors. Hopkins is a vibrant traditional village that comes alive early in the morning with the singing of tropical birds and the occasional rooster letting you know it's morning! If you're looking to experience the culture of a local village in Belize, Blue Moon Cabana is the perfect spot. If you require a more luxurious and fancier experience, you may be happier with a resort-type accommodation in the north and south outskirts of the village. There is a variety of accommodation options in and around Hopkins to meet the diverse needs of vacationers.

This was just as described and what my wife and I were looking for. Hopkins is very laid back, casual, and friendly. When we come back we will stay at the Blue Moon Cabana again.

Two couples stayed 6 nights. On days we had to get out early we were able to make breakfast at home. Many evenings we ended on the large patio with the ocean breeze. You can literally watch the sunrise from bed. VERY secure which my husband appreciated. Next door to a local bar, but late night karaoke on Sunday and a birthday party later in the week is the only time it was noticeable.

This place was just what we wanted. It was a great location, the host was quite helpful, the security was solid, and the price was right. There were a few extra amenities that helped (a cooler, an ice maker). Note that it is small for 4 people, but we knew this going on so was not a surprise. Our only suggestion is to replace the light bulbs with much stronger wattage as it is quite dim in the place once it gets dark outside.

Central location but very noisy. Next door neighbors dog barked incessantly at night and in the morning, lots of traffic noise and the last night of our two week stay there was an outdoor DJ party next door that went until 3 AM.

Beautiful kid safe beach right out your front door! Great location, really cool little house, and Mirko can organize anything for you. The only downfall is 4am karaoke from the bar next door, but that only happened on Friday and Saturday, and if I hadn’t been travelling with my children, I might have gone over for a song.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! the cabana is comfortable, clean and lovely! And the town of Hopkins was amazing! So many friendly people, great places to eat, things to do, and the beach is great! I would recommend Bluemoon over and over again! Of all of our adventures in Belize, this was our favorite place!! THanks again for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

Blue Moon Cabana is as described in its online advertising. Very well kept with no mechanical issues. Also well provisioned with kitchen equipment and other necessities. It is not resort-like. You are in the center of the town, You will have lots of contact with the local residents. We found them to be very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I were to return to Hopkins.

We loved our stay at Blue Moon. Mirko was easy to Communicate with and was quick to respond. We booked our tours and shuttle through him. We loved having the deck to chill out on, and the fresh coconut juice in the fridge for when we arrived. We’d stay here again.

This was the perfect place for my wife and I, and our eight-year-old daughter. Located close to some good restaurants, and the beach out front is perfect. Somebody comes regularly to clean the beach and rake the sand to keep everything tidy. Patio is great for hanging out, and the cabana is cozy and inviting. Would definitely come back.

The set up of this cabana was great for our family of 4 (2 kids ages 8 & 10). Kitchen was well-stocked (which was nice after starting out in a place with only 4 plates). The porch/balcony was my favorite spot! Vert easy to set up private tours with the property manager. Would stay here again.

This cabana offers unobstructed views of the sea along with the sound of waves that can be heard day and night. It is centrally located in Hopkins - walking distance to many excellent places to eat. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a laid back trip to enjoy the local Garifuna culture.

This is our second time visiting Hopkins. Last time we stayed at the Baby Blue Cabana in the back but this time we booked Blue Moon. The location is perfect. Right on the beach, in town, close to restaurants and the grocery store and a produce stand right across the street. We love being in town. Everyone is so friendly and the location can’t be beat. We can’t wait to come back and stay at this property again!

LOVED this cabana with it's beach location, shaded veranda, and the sound of the waves and the sea. We especially enjoyed the veranda and spent many hours talking and reading while listening and watching the waves. We loved being in the village of Hopkins, enjoyed the local restaurants and the local culture. The cabana was super clean, Mirko was very helpful, reviewed everything with us, and was available if we needed him!

This house and the view from the back deck are absolutely amazing. Every detail has been attended to as well. There was fresh fruit and ear plugs on arrival. Plus everything was within walking distance. We can't wait to return!!

We loved staying at Blue Moon Cabana. The location is excellent for walking around Hopkins as well as for activities outside of the village. Mirko was exceptionally helpful for scheduling tours and accommodating our last minute changes. He definitely made our trip very easy to plan. The house itself is well kept and exactly what we were looking for. It definitely gave us the authentic belizean trip we were looking for. The view is exceptional! I really appreciate the staff for accommodating us and helping us for the last few days of our trip.

Rustic cabana Suited our vibe! All amenities excellent! Fabulous beach ! Perfect ocean vista! Loud dance party close by until 4am on 2nd night but noise reduction headphones were salvation . Roosters and barking dogs all ok for us but might bother some. Great location to walk to restaurants or down the beach!

Beautiful beach front cabana. Near constant oceans breezes through the house. A great place to stay if you want to soak up the local culture. Bed are comfy and kitchen is serviceable. But the multiple restaurants close by mean you can skip the cooking. Mirko was an excellent host with tons of info and advice. If you are looking for relaxing in the sand, this a good choice.

My husband and I stayed in the Blue Moon Cabana for a week and had an awesome time! The cabana is well stocked and situated on a beautiful beach right in Hopkins. It's a great place to hang out on the veranda and just enjoy some relaxation, overlooking the beach, and there are also many sightseeing possibilities nearby to get out and enjoy (jaguar sanctuary, zip line, rain forest, ruins, hire a boat to the cayes). Mirko and Annett are very attentive to any needs in the cabana and they're also a fabulous resource for helping to plan tours and outings in the area. Great place!... Very comfortable!...Beautiful sun rises and moon views (one night, the full moon rose just over the water, reflecting in the water in a fiery orange color-- gorgeous!)

Our family (3 adults, 3 children) loved the Blue Moon Cabana. The cabana was even more beautiful than described. It's very peaceful and relaxing and FULLY equipped with just about everything a family will need. Marie, the next door neighbor and her family were a delight and her LOW price Garifuna/Belizean meals were delicious. The only CON I have, is that I had to leave!
