"Japanese style room was really large, very comfortable and clean. Beautiful view of the valley. Staff were friendly. The onsen was uncrowded and clean, very peaceful in the forest. Breakfast was a bit chaotic but the staff did their best to keep it flowing. The lobby bar has good cocktails and a professional bartender. Overall definitely recommend as a “home base” for the Hakone round course/freepass. "

"Overall the stay was great (Room was good and meals were good too) except for the payment part. Our family stayed for 3 nights and Hotels.com had charged us already for 1 night before the trip. So we should only pay for 2 nights at the hotel after our stay. But they charged us for 3 nights. The reception officer kept saying that we needed to pay for 3 nights.
