Great staff and great location! The only problem I had was the toillet in my room had no door! So if you are not comfortable, make sure to ask from staff!

What a spectacular location, right on the lake with mountain views. Property was clean and well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Was there on business but will plan a return trip on vacation!

We were very pleased with our 2 night stay in Lucerne at the Cascada. The hotel is a convenient distance from the train station, an easy walk with luggage but far enough away that you can't hear trains. Reception was excellent and was able to get us into our room a couple hours before check-in time. They also were able to put us in a room towards the quiet back side of the building (little to no street noise.) Switzerland uses outlet plugs which are different from anywhere we've been in Europe....

Great stay at Hotel des Balances. Had a lovely balcony room facing the water. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Located in the middle of everything. Highly recommend, pic on the hotel’s balcony.

The room was really spacious and had an awesome lake view. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you a free bus pass to use during your stay. You get on right out front and it takes you to the city center or train station in about 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back to our room, make some hot tea, and slip into a cozy robe and slippers. We loved this unique boutique hotel! Comfortable, clean, nice people, good convenient area, easily walkable from the train station. Very delicious treat left on our bed upon arrival. I judge a hotel by the shower…is the water very hot, does it trickle or stream, things like that. This hotel had a great shower! There was no air conditioner, but we were fine in early June. Very good breakfast as well.

Have stayed in many hotels in Luzern over the years but I now try to go back to the Wildenmann when I have the chance to visit Switzerland. It is consistently at the high standard that you would expect in Switzerland.

We asked for a lake view room upon reservation and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite with not only a lake view, but a balcony. The accommodations were not only spacious and comfortable, but the room was beautifully appointed with an antique desk and dresser, lovely chandeliers, roomy closets and a double sink bathroom. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Unique hotel with very cool antique furniture, which was a nice touch. Very interesting decor and lots of attention to detail as well. Our stay felt like being transported back in time! Dinner here was a culinary experience. The chef and staff were excellent and the meal was superb. And breakfast was awesome! The room was large and comfortable with a balcony. The steam room with eucalyptus was refreshing at the end of the day.

The staff was great but Expedia may want to stop using the motel. Every night except Saturday and Sunday (Easter weekend) it was very loud outside until 1 pm. Loud music, loud talking and traffic noise came from outside the hotel, I do not know if it came from the restaurant or the bar across the street. The windows need to be upgraded. We got off the train in Luzern and the hotel was just across the street - so convenient! The staff was extremely friendly and allowed us to check in early. The room was larger than expected and very clean. The bathroom had a nice, hot shower. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The hotel is within easy walking distance of all attractions and we were very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
