Top Hough Green Station Hotel Reviews

The Runmere Hotel, Liverpool South (Runcorn), Part of the AG Collection
8/10 Good
"Nice staff. I arrived just before the bar closed at about 9-11pm so can't give a review on that. The front desk was staffed 24/7 by at least one member of staff (and a decent chunk of cats, not sure if they were owned by the property or not). Room itself was a little old, but absolutely fine for the price that I paid for the trip. I booked this to be close to the train station for my trip the next day, and for that this location couldn't be better. Breakfast was alright, nothing too amazing but fine if you just need something to eat when you get up."

Hampton by Hilton Liverpool/John Lennon Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Clean, well equipped room, helpful and friendly staff, perfect location for airport. Really enjoyed our stay."

The Everglades Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Clean comfortable room, good choice for breakfast."

Childwall Abbey, by Marstons Inns
10/10 Excellent
"Great stop over. Whilst it is a pub we didn't hear any noise. It was clean and comfortable. All staff were very friendly and good food in the pub."

Holiday Inn Runcorn by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Staff are really helpful and very friendly. Really good value for money. Although small does have a gym and spa which was great: good location just off the M56. Stayed a good few times now and great value for money. Rooms are clean and comfortable. X"

Mossley Hill Retreat
8/10 Good
"It was a lovely space - particularly having the private, covered courtyard, increasing the space available to us - even in the rain. It was a decent size - suitable for a family of 4 for a few days. The kitchen was small and fairly limited but was acceptable for a few days. It took a while to work out how to use the TV and couldn't use most channels, but at least managed to find the iPlayer. The two downsides were that the swimming pool was unavailable; the end of August during a heatwave seemed an odd time for the pool to be undergoing maintenance. And it was disappointing that even in the self-contained apartment, no guests were allowed, which meant we couldn't have nieces and nephews babysitting the children so that we could go out."

Abbeyfield Guesthouse
8/10 Good
"Super clean and quiet, close to bus, basic accommodation, bring your own toiletries. Nice neighborhood, about 20 minutes from city centre"

The Queens Arms Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"To start, I have rated comms with the host as OK because I didn't need any; check-in info came promptly as promised. The apartment was lovely; couldn't ask for better. There was a bit of noise from the pub downstairs but this didn't bother me at all. Other clientele seemd to be homeless people but again, doesn't bother me as I keep myself to myself. You would be well advised to keep a paper copy of all the door codes etc (entirely no keys), as routing through emails to find them can be a pain. The parking is a bit of a pain as you have you unlock a bollard to park, then then it again when you leave. This wasn't a problem for me in flat 1 but it may be a problem in flats 3 & 4 as their parking was frequently blocked by pub users double parking."

Park Cottage Bed & Breakfast Warrington
10/10 Excellent
"The host was there to greet us which was nice and gave us a tour of the property. The room we stayed in was clean and very spacious and had a lovely big bathroom ( maybe consider a rail in the shower to hold on to) as well as a big sofa in the bedroom to chill. There is not kettle in the room however it's a short walk to the communal kitchen for to make a cuppa or food. Your allocated a shelf in the fridge to store food. We had 2 chihuahuas with us and they had a lovely space to run about as long as its away from the kennels. We had breakfast 1 morning which was excellent, Zac went far and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Just one minor problem we had was some disturbance from the dogs barking and as we are animal lovers it didn't bother us through the day but we had a couple of nights restless sleep, so maybe bring a pair of ear plugs with you.mind you if it hadn't of been so hot the windows and doors would of been closed and we wouldn't of heard them much. Zac runs about like a busy bee and never sits down, overall a beautiful place to stay."
