It’s just very loud and if you’re not used to that, it’s rough. We would probably only stay again if we were in a suite away from the road. Beds are super comfortable so that’s a bonus. Very convenient to Houghton (just across the bridge)."

"Loved our stay here for a beautiful fall weekend. The suite was clean and location was great...not far for anything. The bed was amazing! The most comfortable I've ever experienced at a hotel. The view of the lift bridge every day was supreme and watching the sunrise every morning was a great start to our days. We will definitely be back!"

There was a shower inside the sauna area& you could lock the door for privacy."

"It’s a huge old mansion that parts of it have been renovated/restored. We stayed in the Maids Servant’s quarters which has been beautifully restored. We did not have access to the rest of the house. We met one of the owners when we checked in, but they made an effort to give us our privacy. In the morning, they left a beautifully prepared breakfast outside our door. They thoughtfully had any amenities we might have needed. It was a little intimidating at first because of the nature of a big, unfinished, old mansion and the lack of seeing other people, but after getting settled and accustomed to it, we had a lovely stay and a good memory to add to our trip."
