"The room was clean, but the appliances were outdated. There is a swimming pool, but it is only a 20’ oval. They do have a small cafe parallel to the check-in desk. The hotel manager was very nice and professional. The one perk that kicked it off was a restaurant next door, maybe 200 ft away. Big Al’s definitely throws down on their food; everything smacked. Charbroiled oysters were huge, delicious, and cheap. The mudbugs are where the money is at. What I had on my platter were mudbugs the size of baby lobsters compared to those in Shreveport."

"The desk manager was there when I arrived and was extremely friendly and accommodating. She should get a bonus for excellent customer service. Everything about the stay was as expected, and I will return."

"Once you get over the fact that this hotel is connected to a hospital, it was fine but weird seeing nurses walking around. The room had bit of a sticky area in the space by the beds. Other than that the room was clean and spacious. Side note - make sure that you bring your own shampoo and conditioner as this wasnt provided. There were 2 small bars of soap in the bathroom, but bringing your own is better."

"Breakfast quality was good, although pancake maker wasn’t working and they ran out of plates and forks and knives. Bed was comfortable, a/c worked well. The blackout shade in my room wouldn’t raise and it needed definite replacement. The tub needed bleach cleaning and upgrading. The staff? Excellent, professional, kind and caring. "
