Great setting for solo and group travelers. I was so lonely as a solo traveler and just having people around was nice. The upstairs kitchen is great if you want to cook. Bring earplugs in case someone is snoring. Also it’s a pretty location and if a clear night there’s a I hear there is chance of seeing the northern lights.

Everything was much cleaner than I expected for a hostel. Private bathrooms were great. Also a kitchen with many stoves but might have to wait for wash your dishes.

First time staying in a hostel so had some adjusting the first day but found this to be a great location for the family to cook dinner and interact with other travelers, and very convenient for visiting attractions like glacier lagoon and Vik

We had booked 1 bed in a 4-bed dorm but they gave us 1 bed in an 8-bed dorm due to some "technical error". However the staff was very accommodating and helpful. They gave us free dinner and breakfast along with partial-refund for this error. The rooms & bathrooms were very clean. Would love to go back.

Clean room - can we hot - turn heater off yourself or open the window! Kitchen had everyday you needed to make a meal. Though closest supermarket was 45min drive away Bathroom and toilets were private and separate. Minimal waiting for it Gravel road into property. Would stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfortable, plenty of individual showers and WC. Our room was quiet, but I can see how other experiences might vary. We personally loved all the energy of the place. It was fun to hear multiple languages and meet people from all walks of life. Restaurant was a social hub. Location was close to lots of places.

Amazing place for a one night stay. Quiet, clean, excellent amenities and kitchen. And the best part is that all shoes, jackets are kept out of hallways and rooms and there are lockers to store bags outside of rooms, keeping areas clean and uncluttered. Excellent kitchen for self-sufficient travellers.

Not bad for what it was. Saw a lot of reviews that said the beds were super comfortable and soft but I felt like they weren’t the best. The rooms can get very hot overnight. If you plan to shower, make sure you get in before others because if not the bathrooms get a little gross. Besides that everything was clean. Good full use kitchen upstairs.

The Fox Hostel is a very clean, clear and relaxing space. You should be aware there are many guests in one room but that being said, the spaces are well shared between all people and we can get some intimicy without any issue.

This is a family-run hostel located near Vatnajökull National Park. The layout of the hostel is very well planned out, with many private bathrooms, showers, and beds that allow for a very comfortable stay. My husband and I were especially impressed with the quality of the kitchen and dining space, because it allowed for multiple groups to cook at the same time in their own space, and the kitchen was very well equipped with all the items that one would need to cook a proper meal.
