Main Street at Linby, Nottinghamshire. Looking north-east down the length of Main Street, which has attractively fenced leats either side, giving it a head start in frequently winning the most attractive village in Nottinghamshire competitions. On this particular Sunday the village gardens are open as part of the National Gardens Scheme and there are various other attractions, including a Routemaster double-decker.
Farleys Lane Spring. The Farley Brook rises further west, passing under Farleys Lane in a concrete culvert (bottom right), but at this point is added to by a substantial spring which rises within the odd brick structure in the centre.
