Lovely little spot in a great village of Marsden, with very nice and well presented lodges. Walking distance to pubs and cafes. The location is also on the canal-side so great walks on starting on the doorstep.
Lodge was lovely and the log burner was lovely to put on after a long evening walk this time of year.
ONLY negative for us is that we feel the entrance door on the Redbrook lodge needs a little blind or something on the window for privacy. Also the light coming in if you want a lie-in. Especially when there are camper vans staying. Easily fixed though by hanging my jumper over the window.
100% would stay again, already planning our next trip.

Beautiful gem in the heart of the hills
We could not have asked for a more fantastic place to stay. From arrival and check in, support from staff whilst we were there, location, quirky cabin... Proximity to the hills/ station/ pubs/ canal... Absolutely beautiful. The children loved the waterfall and the cabin itself... A log burner and a sofa to sleep on was a great asset for them. Waking up amongst the trees and being able to feed the ducks 10 meters away. We ate in the village and also had a takeaway... Great choice and fabulous walk down to Slaithwaite and the brewery en route.

Fantastic cabins, location and lovely hosts!
We can't fault these wonderful cabins or the hosts, the cabins are beautifully built, with great style and attention to detail and everything you need to cater for your stay.
Our little staffy loved watching out of the window when we were inside, and happily snoozed in front of the wood burner in the evening.
The location is fantastic, right on the canal path leading to lovely walks up and over some great hilly trails so you don't even need to drive anywhere to find good walks, although you're also only a short drive from bigger peaks and the Pennine Way, or nearby towns and villages including Last of the Summer Wine filming location of Holmfirth.
The hosts were amazing from start to finish, making sure everything was good for us, and giving great local knowledge on walks and places to eat.
We 100% recommend staying here, and would happily return.

Beautiful and secluded, just what we needed
We had a lovely couple of nights stay, it was very peaceful and secluded at the cabin which was perfect. We were pretty much left to our own devices which was quite nice, although we knew the wardens were on site if anything was needed. Lovely set of amenities provided so we were able to cook for ourselves. Only things I would request more of were a sponge for washing dishes (dish soap provided but no way to clean the dishes so we bought our own), and also some extra loo rolls! We ran out on our final morning, we were given one roll and a few sheets on a spare in the cupboard. Whilst we could have asked for more if we had time, this might have been easier to just have a full spare roll in the cabin to begin with. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to pull the sofa bed out as well to put our feet up (although we did find a previous guest’s crochet needle in the sofa bed so perhaps a more thorough check over is needed between guests). The guest book was a lovely touch and we enjoyed writing our experiences in it and reading those of previous guests. Overall a lovely stay and we are already planning on returning! Thank you

Our stay was lovely. Lovely cabin, clean and bright. Everything worked. Hostess was responsible and very helpful. The birds singing were just beautiful. We walked miles and miles. Shops not far away at all. Super quiet.

The Redbrook lodge was beautiful. Ample parking at the property and easy to get to. Everything supplied that you would need for an overnight stay. The bathroom door was a bit tempramental as it is on a runner but i assume it just needed fitting back onto the runner so not really a criticism. The outdoor lights were not working but the warden was quick to come and attempt to fix them, but was unsuccessful. I would still stay again.
