"We enjoyed our short stay at the Royal Kona, while on Big Island. It is in a great location near everything you might want to do. The beds are very comfy and rooms are spacious. The resort also has great amenities as well. We would stay here again! "

"Right on the ocean front with a small beach at your doorstep. Nice to wake up and take a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant makes a fantastic omelet, cooked in any fashion that suits you. Room was clean and housekeeping staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I'd give my stay a B. Definitely need a good cleaning. Bathroom exhaust fans gave pile on dust, both bathroom grout tile needs a good scrubbing, top of fridge needs cleaning, and dish strainer under sink, I wouldn't use as it's dirty. Beds were comfortable, sleeper sofa worked out great, great lanai with dual fans. Need more description from property management instructions in your arrival email about the key required for underground garage access from elevator. Book does reference key required but arrival instructions when you go to put placard in car doesnt reference. Be aware, building is under maintenance and a lot of scaffolding in the underground garage. Would I rent again, yes. Just needs a deep cleaning."

"This place had everything you could think to need for your trip. Everything from beach towels and a collapsible wagon to high chair and pack n play for the little ones. There were plenty of games and puzzles available and the space was kept very nice and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a closet full of extra linens, towels and blankets.The only thing worth noting is that there is only one parking space available for the unit. So if you had a large group like mine that needed 2 cars you will have to find parking on the street or in the pay lot. This wasn't a big deal but was expensive because we chose to use the pay lot as it was a lot closer and easier to access."

"The most important thing to say is that the host was exceptional. We stayed during a week of bad storms (not the norm) and she went above and beyond to make sure we were OK. The location couldn’t be better. During the storm, we parked the car in the designated parking space and walked to everything—including tourist sites and groceries. If you have to hunker down in bad weather, this is a great place to do it. Large glass doors leading to a covered lanai with an ocean view helped make this a great stay even in less than ideal circumstances"
